The Worst! Full Stop. If I could award zero stars, rather than one, I assure you it would be warranted. We were seated immediately by the lovely hostess, but then ignored for 20 minutes. Sure, the place was busy. So what? Get enough people to deal with the volume of business you do! They had one of their waiters bringing additional tables and chairs outside so they could have more irritated customers waiting for someone -- anyone -- to pay attention to them. Lovely. When we finally got a waiter to pay attention to us, he didn't have any notion of what a "dark" beer was (since he tried to sell me a blonde one, and then gave me one that wasn't much better than that in any event). Net, the wine and beer were mediocre; on the other hand, the food was terrible. We had to beg the lovely hostess for salt and pepper (in little paper pouches), just to give the food something resembling taste. But the real fun started when we asked for the check. Which didn't come. And then asked again. And still didn't come. And then rolled my eyes at Ms. Lovely Hostess. But still no check. Since it was clear that the only way to pay your check was to threaten not to, we got up, I bid Ms. Hostess "au revoir," and we left. Sure enough, we didn't get a block away before the owner came running out, whining about how it wasn't his fault, "it's the union," and similar nonsense. My wife, who speaks fluent French, was having none of it and told him so. Of course, we went back and paid the check. But if I were you, I wouldn't. Take your money someplace where they actually appreciate your patronage enough to give you decent food and...

Opting for the à la carte menu proved to be an excellent choice, as we savored a delightful and perfectly executed combination of continental and Indian dishes. Each bite was a burst of flavor, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs. However, what truly stood out was the exceptional service we received from our waitress, Kylie. Her attentiveness and genuine warmth were truly remarkable and a delightful surprise. She anticipated our needs with a smile and made us feel incredibly well taken care of throughout the evening. Kylie's friendly demeanor and dedication to ensuring our satisfaction truly enhanced our dining experience. Adding to the wonderful ambiance was the enjoyable live music, which created a vibrant and relaxing backdrop to our meal. It was the perfect accompaniment to the delicious food and the attentive service. Ojade Cafe at Hycinth has undoubtedly won us over! The combination of delectable food, outstanding and surprisingly attentive service from Kylie, and the lovely live music makes this a must-visit dining destination in Trivandrum. Read moreWent there with friends after dinner for drinks. We asked for a for 7 people. Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming. I sat on a stool and the rest on chairs, later I wanted to swop to a chair but got refused from a manager (bold guy) that I could not get a chair while half of the the place was empty and so many chairs available. I asked politely to have a chair to sit comfortably, but he said 'No'. Obviously he doesn't have a customer service. The whole table was shocking and stunt, even the waiter who was looking after us. Please remember that when you work is hospitality, customer service is 'a key' to bring customers come back!!! Obviously this manager...
