Initially I was a bit worried about buying from the new Poké place across the street. But one day we got two large bowls for takeout. Wow! This is really one of the best poké bowls I have had so far. The rice they serve is well seasoned and very yummy; and that's important to me since rice is more than 50% of the recipe. I had the Tuna Poké and it was very well prepared as well. I recommend topping off the bowl with pineapple, crispy onions, wasabi nuts, and the special white sauce - the result is yummy. I usually struggle to finish a bowl of Poké (except that one time in Hawaii), but this time my girlfriend and I cleaned these bowls and didn't leave a single grain of rice behind. I thought it just had maybe a bit too much going on inside and rice to ingredients ratio a bit off. Didn’t like that it had too many sauces going on and i felt i wanted more rice cuz it was a teeeeny tiny bit salty cuz of the sauces. Still enjoyed my bowl though. :) maybe next time i’ll just make my own bowl by choosing the ingredients. miso soup was just ok. But it’s not a big expectation for me. Read moreI went in today to get takeout, but it was immediately clear that the person working there didn’t enjoy having customers in the restaurant. When I asked a simple question about adding avocado to my poke bowl, he responded in an unnecessarily condescending tone, telling me I should only answer his questions with yes or no.
