Casa Tua — Restaurant in Paris

Unfortunately this was our least favourite dining experience during our trip to Paris. We arrived onto the property and once we said we had a dinner reservation we were ushered into the property with a “tour” of the main floor enroute to the restaurant. He left us at the entrance to the restaurant and told us someone would be there to help us and we were approached by a gentleman who didn’t really great us or say anything but took our coats. We were seated in a room with three others couples. In total throughout the evening there five tables dining in the restaurant. The food was average at best. We had much higher expectations, especially with the prices being charged and the calibre of the hotel. The wine list was overpriced and the wine which the sommelier recommended saying she had tried it many time over the past few months was undrinkable. To their credit they did allow us to choose another bottle. The service was haphazard and we had to wait half an hour between requesting the bill and wanting to pay. We stopped counting how many times the staff walked by without looking our way. We would not recommend and could not...

We had extremely high expectations coming into this restaurant, however these expectations were definitely not met. The buratta and tuna starters took 20 minutes to arrive and was average at best. It took another 45 minutes for our main courses to arrive. The veal was extremely thick and undercooked. We had also ordered a lobster pasta that was very salty and overcooked. The manager was not helpful at all and insisted that his chefs practices were correct. Would not recommend this...

We found that the staff payed more attention to guests with bat costumes than us asking three times for a check. There appears to be no dress code and people with ultra casual clothing looked awful in an otherwise nice restaurant. On leaving we found the front office staff ignored us when we made a special effort to wish them all a good evening in French...
