The quality of the food at this restaurant was good, and considering its location, the prices were reasonable. However, I would like to share a cautionary experience regarding the menu options. They provided two versions of menus: one in Chinese with images and the other in English (possibly with French) without any images. Being Chinese, we naturally opted for the Chinese menu with images, unaware that the prices for the same dishes differed between the two menus. Upon receiving the bill, we were surprised to find that the total amount was slightly higher than expected. It was then we realized the discrepancy. The prices listed on the English menu were approximately 1.5 Euros higher for each dish, reflecting the actual prices. I kindly brought this matter to the attention of the owner, expressing my desire for prior notification about the incorrect prices on the Chinese menu. Unfortunately, instead of acknowledging the oversight, the owner seemed defensive and offered various excuses, such as assuming most customers were familiar with the prices and being too busy to update the Chinese menu. In the end, we ended up paying around 5 Euros more than initially anticipated, which was not a big deal but still left a slight disappointment during our otherwise pleasant experience in Paris. I would like to advise fellow tourists, particularly Chinese tourists, to double-check the prices of the food before placing their orders to avoid any...
Read moreWe found this unassuming little restaurant in a rush, just coming out of the Centre Pompidou (only 2mins away on foot), and were blown away by the food, service, and prices.
To start off, I casually asked how long it would take as we were in a rush, and the owner was more than understanding. She recommended dishes that would take quicker and our fried rice dishes and fried noodles were on our table within five minutes. Extremely kind and friendly, and watching the other customers you could tell she has that rapport with everyone.
The food! No frills, just simple, and damn good. We ordered a veggie fried rice, chicken fried rice, and veggie fried noodles. It was much better than most else I’ve had at other “asian fusion” restaurants at double the price. The portions were also very generous.
This is the kind of food my friend and I, both being from Taiwan, ate growing up at neighbourhood places. To have found this in Paris, after living abroad for so long, really warmed my heart. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody looking for authentic food of southern...
Read moreThis is definitely one of the best soup noodle restaurants that you can find in terms of price-quality relationship. The beef soup noodle only costs 8euro and the portion is huge. Soup is tasty and the beef is tender and well marinaded in soy sauce. Chilli oil and vinegar are offered on the table in case customers want to adjust the flavor. The atmosphere is nothing about fancy but still clean and cozy. The staff here are really friendly. If you want some cheap tasty meal and are not too picky about the environment, I definitely...
