At Franck, they seem to have mastered the art of slyly switching orders to pricier options without consent, leaving you with an exorbitant bill. Their motto might as well be "Order what you like, we will serve you what we want." I would caution others about this little scheme they have perfected there. If they think you haven’t ordered enough, they will switch your order with something way more expensive and sold by weight. Flash it quickly before your table seeking approval in a rushed manner, and unless you were well-versed in the French names for cuts of beef, it will be nearly impossible to detect their trickery. When you complain about the outrageous bill and the fact you had no way of even verifying the weight, they show no remorse and will tell you in your face that “you should have not eaten it.” From the unremarkable location and lackluster décor to the abysmal service and deceptive ordering routine, this restaurant was a complete letdown. Read moreWe came on Thursday at 20:30. Booked table calling earlier same day, owner told us we could do online also but no worries table booked. When we arrived they didn’t have us on their list but anyway they offered us a nice table, there were around 6-7 available tables. We ordered 2 starters: -Bone marrow: Excellent! (Tip: ask for a teaspoon, easier to eat) -Beef Carpaccio:Good
Then ordered 2 mains: -Ribeye Steak:Delicious! One of the best I ever had. -Beef Fondant: very good, reminded Pesach soup meat
Owner came to offer wine, we are not best wine connoisseurs but his advice was excellent.
Table was a bit too small but we had a empty one next to us so we helped ourselves with it.
Place seems to be quite popular, it was full when we left.
Tip: don’t order still water, and they also offer tap water...
Read moreMy friend and I tried as many Kosher restaurants as we could during our week visiting Paris. Chez Franck is very quietly the best kosher dining experience in Paris.
The setting feels authentically Parisian, not like a tourist trap. The service was authentic and genuine, casual yet highly professional. The menu is exciting, yet traditional and balanced. But the star of the show was the food. The food was exquisite.
These are well executed dishes with beautiful presentations and great flavor combinations.
If you go, order the double Fois Gras (starter) and Duck a L’orange (main). Those are two of the best dishes I’ve ever put in my face. I plan on going back soon and trying more...
