I went to get breakfast at this place with my sister, husband and 6months old baby. After we sat and while waiting on our order, I politely asked the lady if I could get a cup of water (which is normally included when you buy un ‘cafĂ© allonge’). A few moments later, I asked for a second cup of water as I was very thirsty (breastfeeding mom). The lady told her friend in front of me: “elle ne peut pas s’acheter une bouteille elle?” which translates to “can’t she buy herself a bottle of water?” in a very annoyed tone.

While this is very disrespectful, what chocked me even more is the lady is a mom-to-be (pregnant) with no manners whatsoever.

Do not recommend this place. The food is okay, coffee very bad and service is terrible. So many better...

Was staying in Paris a few days and this was near our hotel. Before our flight home we went here for breakfast. When ordering our food the lady at checkout pointed outside and asked if we wanted takeaway which we assumed was due to not wanting plates and mugs outside so we said yes. We got our food and sat outside on one of the tables (which was empty) and another lady came running outside. She was extremely rude and said if we wanted to sit outside we needed to pay €1.50 or go. We would’ve had no issue with this if she wasn’t so rude- we ended up leaving. We originally planned to buy more things to take home but went elsewhere - there is a way to talk to people and this is not it, very...

Wow, we experienced the exceptional french pastries and sandwiches in this place. There was a great variety of choices, they all look incredible and taste like heaven. The croissant was absolutely the best we’ve ever had, and their sandwiches were made of fresh and high quality ingredient with the top of the line French baguette, super delicious. The outside table under the sun with the fresh air in Pais morning gave an outstanding experience. And their espresso coffee boosted the great feeling and made us ready for visiting the beautiful places in Paris. We will definitely come back tomorrow morning. Lucky to stay in a hotel close...

I usually dont give less than 4 stars, but this place is definitely not worth it. There was a little line up, we took the paris brest and the Chocolate Babka “brioche” kinda bread and we were disappointed. The paris brest dough was super hard and plasticki and the filling wasn’t as smooth as it should be. For the Babka, the disappointment is real. Very very dry, with bad chocolate taste. You would be better with an store bought chocolate brioche than this. The prices are too high for the quality of their products. I don’t recommend this place, considering you have tons of other options less than 100m away.

We came here with some hesitation after seeing quite a few negative reviews about Chez Meunier. However, we still wanted to try their highly rated croissant. We were extremely polite and speaking French in the store trying so the purchasing experience was fine for us. There’s an additional cost for dining in, but the store only offers seating with no bathroom, so we ended up just purchasing the croissant to try. The croissant was okay, but not worth making a special trip for. There are plenty of other places that offer good croissants along with a nicer environment to enjoy them.
