I ordered lunch set which are buckwheats crepe with melted blue cheese, walnuts and salad and the second dish supposed to be crepe chocolate and whipping cream (as the service guy recommended). After the first dish, it took ages to get the second dish as they forgot and the crepe came without whipped cream even though a guy remembered I ordered it with whipped but he seem not really care and say there are in menu with and without whipping cream. I also ordered the first dish to take away but it turn out they forgot to put walnuts. I don’t know other dish but the first melted blue cheese was good, I enjoyed the first half times until they forgot the second dish and put the bill on the table while I still have coffee (which I ordered for having together with the second dish) without checking if they forgot to serve me something. So many things going on after that as another guy couldn’t speak English and the person who can speak didn’t bother to listen customer to finished the ordered then assumed thing himself...not impressed me at all. Sadly for them, I supposed to make good review for them but the bill on the table and food mistakes...
Read moreAppeared to be understaffed by very friendly yet undertrained people. The two young gentlemen were having difficulty seating people and clearing tables in a restaurant that was only one third full. The 'chevre chaud' was the same, but with four small pieces of baguette topped with melted goat cheese on top. Only Muscadet available for white wines, so we ordered some cider...which never came :-(. Fortunately the gallettes ('sel et sucre' and 'popeye') were tasty. Unfortunately, the well-presented dessert crepe Normande had a sour taste. 15 mins before closing time the gentlemen became almost singularly focused on packing up the restaurant around us and the...
Read moreFantastic. Just go. Mix of Paris and Breton charm. Great food, great service, great price. Lovely atmosphere, they put up with my franglais with a smile and friendly corrections. And stayed cheerful when we declined their polite offer of an English menu. [First found here after a poor meal elsewhere and a still hungry son. Ordered just 1 crepe (to stave off imminent starvation for our teenager) plus coffee on a busy Saturday evening. Allowed to sit at a table and take our time with friendly service and no rush]
Only place my wife has EVER over-tipped and waiter checked twice as he thought us too generous. Oh, and they sell Breton cider cheaper than the local bars do 'happy hour' beer.
My son's quote - 'I'm going to bring my family here.' Hope you enjoy...
