My family and I did our homework well by researching top attractions in Paris and in other parts of France before arriving in Paris. Although we came fully prepared and knew what attractions to see and the best restaurants to dine at, we would not have fully fulfilled our plans without the top-notch guidance we received from the excellent team at Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe!||I am a Titanium Elite status member, and I have stayed in several Marriott properties over the course of my almost three decades of professional career. I rarely provide written feedback regarding my experiences at hotels whether the service I receive is good or bad because I practice the art of willing acceptance of whatever comes my way without any complaint or praise. However, I do occasionally make an exception, and I would be remiss if I allowed my experience at Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe to pass by without saying thanks to the wonderful people I interacted with, starting with those who helped me book the right room, particularly Senne Theewes!||My family and I felt at home at Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe throughout our stay. The service we received from everyone was par excellent. I wish I did not have to call out any person for fear of leaving out someone who deserves a special mention. Everyone we interacted with (Shams, Ibrahima, Flavio, Ashma, Dorian, Godwin, Ashma, the staff at the restaurant, and many others) were extremely friendly but professional. ||However, I must say that the “gods” might punish me if I failed to say special thanks to Shams who went extra miles to bring life and vitality to our preplanned activities to do during our two-week stay in France. In addition, the food and experience at the few restaurants Shams recommended were superior to the restaurant recommendations we received from a renowned travel writer. Finally, I want to thank Ibrahima for his “servant leadership” spirit that always sought to get us what we need even when we had not verbalized our specific need. Someone once said that the selfless activity of divine love guarantees the continuity of this wonderful creation called the universe. Life, love, and joy are embodied in everyone at the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe. Thank you for helping my family and me experience a wonderful experience in France on our...
Read moreThis review is a bit late (but I took notes) and I would be truly remiss to not express my feelings about our stay here. Normally, Saint-Germain-des-Pres is our "go-to" area in Paris, and while I would still consider it as such, it was really great to explore this area right near the Arc de Triomphe too. (It's a bit too busy for us though) This is a lovely, modern, updated hotel but hands down the best thing about it is the people who work here. They are some of the kindest, most service oriented people I've met anywhere. We were very disappointed to not be able to receive a room upgrade here, but considering how full the hotel was, it is understandable. The room was still lovely, but the balcony was pretty tight for 2 people. It was still great to see the sunset outside from the balcony and enjoy morning coffee there. The bed, pillows and bedding were really comfy. And there was plenty of closet space for the over abundance of fun fashion that I brought and purchased. When we checked it, we were given a coupon for a complimentary cocktail or glass of Champagne. When we went to redeem it, there was confusion in the restaurant and the front desk staff all pretty much ran to the restaurant with us to get it sorted. In everything we were doing, or wanted to do, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and right on the money in their recommendations. There are several good restaurants and attractions nearby. We stayed for 5 nights, including over the Fete de la Musique (Summer Solstice) during which the restaurant/bar threw a great party complete with DJs and awesome music. It was super fun! They also had a great gym. Anytime I'm back in Paris and not staying in my fave area, THIS will definitely be a go-to. And I will not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family!! A HUGE shout out to some of the best in the biz...at the front desk...Joanna, Syad (extra thanks for the help/support in getting my postcards mailed!), and Manager Flavio!! Someone give these people a raise already! Whatever they're making...
Read moreIn my experience many European hotels lack the comfort and service typically found in US hotels at a comparable price. However, Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel was a big exception and by far exceeded our expectations. It provided a perfect base for my family to explore Paris on our 10 day visit.
The staff was extremely helpful in helping us navigate crowded Paris and even took the time to get to know me and my children and ask how our vacation was progressing. Particular thanks go out to Max who went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our stay and helped us with advice on how to beat the traffic at the Eiffel Tower and other crowded attractions. So we were made to feel very welcome and service was great. We found the location almost ideal- very close to the Arc de Triomphe, Metro and Champs-Elysees, but quiet enough at night and not mobbed during the day. I tend to like to stay in areas that are not quite as busy but offer easy access to everything and this was perfect.
The room was comfortable and clean and the AC worked well, even when the weather was hot. The hotel was modern themed but comfortable and nice touches like US type power outlets were convenient. The gym was nice and not crowded.
During our stay, my son’s precious stuffed animal was accidentally scooped up by housekeeping. He was very upset and I was worried that we would never get it back. I was sure that it would be difficult to find but the staff was super responsive. It seemed everyone in the hotel knew about our missing Snowstorm… (Yes, I know that I probably seemed like a crazy American - but it had a lot of sentimental value). A day later it was located and returned the day after. Thanks Elena! You saved the day for my son.
The only negative thing I can say about the hotel is that the breakfast is insanely expensive and not the best for the money. But hey, there is a Starbucks right up the street.
I’d highly...
