La Cantina Chic — Restaurant in Paris

We were 8 people (including 1 child). Even though there was nobody (we were literally the only ones), we were told it was a "huge inconvenience" to have such a big table. We asked if we could split our group into 2 groups of 4 because of the good reviews. They reluctantly seated us but at 2 tables furthest apart. We left because he was rude and the menu wasn't child friendly (we didn't know the menu until after we sat down).

I've made many honest reviews and don't only complain about places with bad service. Readers should be able to read all experiences and a bad review isn't going to deter readers. The owner's response to my review shows his true nature. He can defend his restaurant but to call me rude when I didn't even say a word to him is childish. I stand...

We had excellent Bresaola and Burrata starters together with some moist and soft bread. Mixing both made for a treat, together with the juicy pops of the pomegranate and the bitterness of the rocket.

The crème of truffle pasta was light and creamy, with the right balance of cream against the lightness of truffle. Delicious! It was perfectly Al dente, together with the tomato pasta we had. I'm not sure what basil they used, but it was clearly very fresh and fragrant.

After having 4 superb dishes, we could not refuse the grand gourmand desert of chocolate cake, panna cotta, scoop of vanilla ice cream and a shot of coffee. Certainly was enough to share for 2 people. Would recommend this restaurant.

If you are here in Paris, come here! We arrived a bit early for our reservation but got in without trouble. The host (also the owner?) treated us with both skill and genuine warmth. He took the time to ensure everyone understood the menu and despite handling all the covers himself, was both attentive and efficient. The food was stellar. We shared a delicious antipasti. Our main course of pasta in truffle cream sauce with mushrooms and pamesan was one of the best mains I've ever tasted. The wine was very good and the tiramisu excellent. The price was very reasonable considering the stellar quality of the food (basically all the mains were under 20 euros). One of the best restaurant meals I've ever eaten.
