We were initially going to a different Italian place to eat right up the street but wound up being turned away and were recommended to Croccante, and I am so glad we took the recommendation. We walked in and right away had amazing customer service from their staff, they didnât have tables available but made room for us at the bar to order from the dinner menu. I would suggest making a reservation as it is a small space and you might not be so lucky to just walk in. Everything was so delicious, reasonably priced and everyone was so friendly and welcoming.    Read moreThe staff was so friendly and welcoming to this solo diner and they genuinely engaged with all their guests. I would highly recommend it to visitors and small groups. I had the gnocchi and it was delicious, but it was the Sicilian cannoli that won my heart.
4/4/24 - I returned to Croccante after a several year gap and had another amazing meal. This time it was for lunch. The service was so friendly and welcoming. I had the gnocchi margarita again, but opted for the daily dessert which was a chocolate/almond cake with a light dusting of cocoa and powdered sugar. It was dense, rich and nutty flavored. I am so happy that Croccante is just as wonderful now as when I visited it...

We've been there on each of our three Paris visits after discovering it on a recommendation from our host on our first trip in 2012. It's a bit off the beaten path, but it's near one attraction: we highly recommend taking in the city views from the top of Tour Montparnasse and finishing your evening at Croccante, about a five-minute walk.
