DO NOT stay in this hotel, it is under extreme poor management and condition is appalling. It is closer to a one star hotel, than a three star as it claims to be. We stayed at Ibis budget hotel and it was better than here. Poor maintenance: The rooms are narrow with very disgusting shower area. There were many rust stains, walls were cracked and the shower head had very weak water pressure. The shower door could not even be closed properly. Poor customer service: We lodged a complaint about our missing personal belongings, but this was the beginning of our nightmare. The reception came to inspect our room and while she apologised and promised to investigate and update us in the morning, we heard nothing the next day morning. We dealt with several other receptionists regarding the issue but especially with Lilit, one of the middle age woman with blonde hair, she treated us with a dismissive attitude and was reluctant to help. Poor management: We were told that we could talk to the manager (Alexander Nicolette)the next day 9-10am but the manager never showed up, even after the receptionist made a call to him, he claimed he has meeting to attend and will not come. The receptionist said they will call us if the manager arrives, it is now 4:40pm and we never received any call or update. We are clearly not valued/ prioritised as customers.
Staying at this hotel had been exhausting. We want a full refund of our stay here for all the energy and time wasted due to poor management.
Update: we finally heard from the manager and got our refund for the missing item only after we said we will call the police for a record.
Update 2: We are delighted to see a response from them as below, but at the same time we are beyond disappointed to see how they have replied. The free breakfasts were given to compensate the dirty towels placed on my friend’s belonging, but it does not justify their tardiness in giving us the refund. As I mentioned, they did not process the refund until we mentioned calling the police. (This is at least 48 hrs after the issue was raised) If they were helpful to begin with, we wouldn’t have needed to...
Read moreStayed here for 2 nights in April 2023.
Check in was easy. Pleasant front desk and able to speak English. We were directed to go to their second building 2 doors down for our rooms. It was also where there breakfast space was (not included in our stay). The elevator up was tiny and could only fit 2 of us + 2 carry in luggage at a time. I didn't realize there was a radiator heater under the window behind the curtains that I had to turn on for more heat.
Rooms were quite clean. Bathroom were also fairly clean and more modern styled. I would have approximated some real cups rather than the 2 provided paper cups. Water boiler in the room. Fairly spacious for European hotel room. One of the 2 rooms we got was slightly larger but similar enough.
Elevator can sometimes be busy given the small space. We chose to walk down the stairs often times.
Location was very close to Gare Montparnasse train station and easy to get around the city. There's a train directly from there to Versailles. A Monoprix supermarket was close by too to snacks and wine.
They had luggage storage behind a locked door near reception which we used when we checked out and came back at 3pm to pick it up....
Read moreThe room for two was too small, in the shower I felt like a pharaoh in a sarcophagus and also had water leaking everywhere, I had to go take a shower at my neighbors (my family members) who had a triple room (they were unhappy with the dirty carpet). Claustrophobia begins to develop while using the elevator. On the first day you regret choosing this particular hotel, on the remaining days you just can’t wait until you get home. The dining room is in another building, but this did not cause any particular discomfort. There was also little space though, but the food was normal. Location of the hotel is most likely the best thing about this place. The receptionist spoke russian which was a pleasant bonus. I do not recommend this hotel, you better be looking for another one. Enjoy...
