We live in San Francisco and my wife and I came here twice for massages while on vacation. The first massage was solid for both of us and we were sold on coming back for the 2 hour revitalizing massage, which we came back for. My wife's masseur was Emile, who is the owner, and while he is certainly a skilled masseur and a healer, there was quite an unfortunate incident. When she was asked to lie on her back, he never put the towel back over her top and proceeded to give her a 5 minute massage on her breasts without any request for consent. My wife figured this was just something that is done in "French culture" and went with the flow. In addition to this, the stretching portion of the massage included some close contact in the groin region, which is something neither of us have had in the over 100 massages we've had in our lives. After she told me about her experience, we did a bit of research to see if this is in fact a normal practice for a massage in France, but learned it is not. She rightfully felt violated and so I'm writing this review to bring awareness to the practice at this massage studio so it doesn't happen to...
Read moreBan Sin Thai is an oasis in the busy city of Paris. Close to Montparnasse, once you walk into this unassuming entry you are launched into a retreat complete with a bamboo courtyard and calming waterfall. After a first session, I signed up for a 10 session plan and have enjoyed every massage that I've tried (you can test the variety of styles they offer). Emilie gave me an amazing introduction to Thai Yoga massage and literally changed my body's alignment and tension within a few minutes. He is clearly a master and I cannot wait to book a full session with him. Nok delivered a wonderful mixed massage, reading my body, working out knots, and helping give that sigh-inducing back crack. As an athlete, I can truly say their services have improved my physical condition and I would recommend...

Both left my entire body feeling so relaxed, light, and good sore. Everyone was so nice. They offered me some dates and peanuts as I sipped on a whole pot of deliciously complex herbal tea afterward. Both times I was given the room right by reception so I could hear some talking as well as the music. But it didn’t really bother me; I was too focused on enjoying the excellent very traditional Thai massage. I’ve had Thai massages in several US cities as well as a lot in Thailand. What they offer here is definitely more traditional,...
