De Damas à Beyrouth — Restaurant in Paris

Hi owner,

First of all , I was welcomed by your lovely staff ,this I am happy the service was good .

But…..

I passed by your restaurant on Tuesday late afternoon before my train departed in Paris. I ordered two mezze , one taboule one eggplant with two pieces of pita that you gave me .

After I finished the meal before my train departed,after an hour later , my tummy started to feel pain, more and more intense, to a point I had to rush to the washroom diarrhoea and vomit.

The Sncf has doctors on the train so immediately they had to see what was wrong with me . They highly suspected the food that I brought from your restaurant that caused such intense gastro/ food poisoning . I would not want them to take things seriously and go and check your restaurant, that will cause you a huge loss if they find anything . The doctor on the train gave me two pills to calm my intestine with mineral water while I was so sick on the train , luckily I got help from the sncf doctors. It was quite a painful journey.

I hope you can double check the hygiene of the preparation and the storage of food , so your next client will not have...

Microwaved food - the restaurant when we entered at 3 pm albeit this may be not a proper meal time was very empty and it smelled funny from inside, we were met by a nice server but our surprise came as we ordered the chickeng and Beef and they were fully cooked from earlier and put inside the microwave to be heated and served for us which i found so stunning for a restaurant in Paris, I would have appreciated if the server did let us know that they are not ready to serve us now and maybe dinner at 6 or 7 would be a more proper time for serving freshly cooked meals. But no. Also we ordered lemonade juice and it was just a syrup of lemon added on cold water and mixed together. Overall wont recommend and won’t be considering...

This was my second trip to Paris and I had to return for a second visit to De Damas à Beyrouth. It was just as amazing the second time around.

The woman running the restaurant is very kind. My French is not the best, but she is easily able to accommodate English speakers so don't be afraid to stop by as a tourist.

I ordered the beef shawarma plate, which also came with an assortment of dips. The mutabal, hummus, and muhammara were my favorite and the beef was very tender and had an amazing flavor! This is probably one of the best Lebanese restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating at. I will definitely be returning here the next time I...
