The hotel is in a nice area, practical for taking a train in Montparnasse Station, as well as direct metro to the center but also to Bercy, not far from gare de Lyon. |Nice staff: it was cold in the room, as heaters were not yet on for the season, but they switched them on the same day we asked (and they even added an additional electrical heater, just in case). |Room and bathroom clean, and big enough (even a small balcony on the 6th floor, with a view on Montparnasse tower). Very comfortable bed. |The bathroom is brand new and stylish, but how unpractical! Impossible to wash your hands without splashing water all around, since the water falls at the very edge of the small basin, that moreover was quite blocked (didn't fix it when we asked, but we didn't remind them neither).|Toilet in a separate room, as usual in France, with unpractical toilet paper support. |Good continental breakfast, with hot beverage served at your table. Good fresh croissants of different types, different kind of cheese (plastic mono-portions, could be more ecologic with big pieces to be cut by customers), pots of yogurts, fruits, cereals, 3 kind of juices. |So overall very good, if they could just review their bathroom arrangement it would...
Read moreI can't say enough great things about this hotel. Here is a list of all the things I loved about this property.
First and most importantly -- The rooms are perfectly clean and beds extremely comfortable. The shower is spacious, and the towels are soft.
Location -- This property has a Metro station 50 yards from the front door with direct access to the Eiffel Tower. There are 2 other stations a 2-minute walk away. So essentially you have easy access to multiple Metro lines which can get you anywhere across Paris.
Service -- the staff was always ready to greet you with a smile. They really made the place feel like a home away from home.
Neighborhood -- Very quiet and quaint away from the major tourist sports. Great restaurants that are much more affordable than the ones you will find near the touristy areas. Also, a bakery, fruit market, and grocery stores all within a few yards of the front door.
Fantastic property in a great neighborhood of this magical city. They could have charged me double or triple and I would have still considered it a...
Read moreWe were really impressed by this hotel. We stay in Paris every year for work and this hotel is good value. The room was large, the bathroom large (not always in Paris) and the beds very comfortable.
We were in 51 and although there was a occasional noise from people in the corridor we couldn’t hear the lift. Heating was adequate and thankfully as we were on the interior there was no traffic noise. Kettle in the room was a nice touch as was the space, allowing for two open suitcases.
Staff were very friendly, efficient and professional. Breakfast was good not great. Your normal hotel breakfast in France. Eggs and sausage not good but quality bread, standard pastries but cereals, fresh fuit, yougurts and crepes. Good but certainly not bad and fine if included in the price.
Thé area is perfect for us as we worked at the exposition halls in Porte des Versailles. Plus there are 2 different Metro lines within 5 minutes walk. The area is famed for Breton Crepe restaurants which are good for lunch, then for dinners there’s many different Asian...
