While this is a very basic hotel that lacks many things that we take for granted when we stay, it is located in a vibrant location and within easy distance of most Paris attractions. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful, especially when one of us became very ill and we had to stay in for a day. While it is old and rooms are tiny, we had a separate toilet and a bathroom with shower over the bath. Unfortunately our room was not air conditioned, which is an issue on warmer days as we had. The vertical fan in the room did not create enough circulation for comfort. Fortunately the helpful staff provided us with a stronger fan that helped. The wonderful Receptionist also arranged for a doctor to visit us in the hotel which was a beautiful kind hearted thing to do. The hotel is not the best if you need to stay in for a day, but great as a central base for exploring Paris. The local area atmosphere is also great. We would not recommend this hotel for anyone with mobility issues as the lift is tiny with difficult access and stairs are steep. Clearly the owners and staff take pride in the hotel, which shows through the clean rooms that appear to be regularly maintained.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Odessa. I was able to select the room I wanted and booked online. When we arrived, our room was already ready so we dropped our belongings and hit the town! My room even had a little balcony you can stand outside on. 😍 The hotel staff were very professional and friendly, and could answer any questions you might have! I was able to pay for the rest of my stay when I checked out and they even scheduled a taxi to take us to the airport. Location, location, LOCATION! You're in the middle of it all! You're right in front of the market that occurs 2x a week, the metro stop, various patisseries, crêperies, bafes, bars, restaurants, and more! The only thing I didn't like about my room is that the door to the bathroom couldn't close all the way, but since I was traveling with family I overlooked it. Also the elevator is pretty small so if you have a lot of luggage, I'd send it up separately. I would love to stay here again!

This hotel is SOLID. We were checked in by the nicest man ever. The room is pretty good, not huge, though the bathroom was new-looking and spacious. Highlights: -The view from the room is nice -LOCATION!!!! So easy to get on the metro-there are several lines nearby. That was huge for us. Tons of restaurants and we loved the bakery down the street. This made it all worth it. -large closet with shelves to store all your stuff and keep the room clutter free Downside is the walls are paper thin🥲 I woke up from the people next to us coming back and showering and talking in their bathroom. Plus the bar and restaurants under our window would get loud. So probably good to keep in mind if you’re a super light sleeper. Overall good value for your money.

Good location with easy access to metro. Close to lots of grocery stores, places to eat, and had 2 pharmacies nearby. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and not too small given the price but shower is tiny and uncomfortable to use. Not to mention that the flow of water is very small and it takes much longer than normal to shower. The bathroom could've been better arranged to create a bit more space for the shower instead of leaving lots of space in front of the sink. Tap is very weird - hot water comes out for 1 minute before there's cold water. First time I've ever come across that anywhere. Shower gel/hand soap smells nice.

Housekeeping was strange and would put a towel that I discarded on the floor back on the rack instead of giving me a new one. Repeated this over 2 nights. I could tell it was the same towel because 1) it was wrinkled instead of flat like the way the towels were when I first checked in and 2) it was not folded the same way over the rack.

Changing to one star after a situation at check out. The guy at the front desk (not the one I checked in with) told me to pay even though I had paid on the day I arrived. Said there wasn't a note saying I paid and I had to show him the receipt. Thankfully I did keep the receipt but it was annoying and ridiculous that I had to reopen my suitcase and dig through papers to find it. Would've been a much worse situation had I been someone that doesn't keep receipts. Since I paid by card there should be some way for the hotel to check their records and normally an establishment also has a copy. Absolutely...

We had a reservation for 2 nights. The night we checked in we noticed that the A/C was not working properly. We we're already tired from all the traveling and almost got no sleep from the heat in the room. We let the staff know the next morning and they said that they would look into it. When we got back at night we noticed that the A/C was still not functioning properly and the heat was worst. We went back to reception and let them know. They did not offer any solutions like moving us to another room or offering at least a fan. We had to open the windows which did not help much as there was a lot of noise throughout the night due to some work outside(it seemed). We booked this room to have a place to rest and could not even do that. The next morning when we checked out of our room we were still asked to pay the remaining of the reservation. We complained about the A/C and they only gave us a discount of 20 euros. This discount does not do anything for us. They said that the A/C was going to get fixed this day but by this time we were leaving so this would not fixed our horrible experience staying here. We had horrible sleep and we were tired during all of our daily activities since we could not rest which really affected our whole stay in Paris. Hope they do better next time for...

We stayed at Hotel Odessa for 4 nights. The location is great, close to Metro 4 and 6 which pretty much takes us to all the places we wanted to go to. There are so many restaurants and cafes around, offering a wide variety of food from many cultures. There are always people around, so we felt safe even when we got back late to the hotel.

The staff is nice. I didn’t realize that our train ticket to Frankfurt the next day needed to be printed (well, they had a note that says “only printed tickets are acceptable”; however, they did eventually scan my phone instead) and I was so worried for a second. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk to help me print out the ticket, at 10:15 pm, he immediately put me at ease and was happy to help me without any hesitation. I was extremely thankful for his help!

The bed that we had in our classic room was very small; however, the room was kept clean. Our room is #10, which is right opposite the storage room. Whenever the storage room was opened or closed, our door was vibrating and it felt like someone was trying to open our door. We smelled cigarette outside of our room for a couple of nights too.

Overall, we had a great stay. For us, the most important things are cleanliness and location, so we were happy with...
