A bizarre concept with mediocre-to-poor food and service. This is a very cool space with counter seating. They offer a "sharing" menu but the food and presentation are not conducive to sharing. Easily the worst dinner I had in my last trip to Paris.
I'll give two illustrative examples. The second course on the menu was a beef tartare tartelette (which was actually a vegetable tartelette because the chef decided to skip the beef that night for some unexplained reason). There were 3 people in my party and all 3 tartelettes were served on a single small plate put between us. This dish required the use of a fork and knife, so we were shoulder-to-shoulder trying to eat off of a single plate. Another dish was spaghetti, again served in a single plate which required us to eat like "Lady and the Tramp." By this restaurant's bizarre logic, any dish becomes "sharable" when it is served on a single plate regardless of how easy or difficult it is to share.
I could maybe look past this odd concept if the food was amazing but it just wasn't. To its credit, a few items were really good but there were way more misses than hits. Some were just awful (like the spaghetti which included a poached oyster that was basically just slime). Service was also poor. Had a great glass of wine to start the dinner and asked several times for a second glass which never came.
With all of the amazing food in Paris there is no reason to...
Read moreHad a multi-message exchange by email and confirmed an amendment to my reservation. Arrived to be told that I do not have a reservation. The error itself wasn’t a problem for me, but her attitude was disgusting. Smirking, rude, blaming me for the confusion. Saying my emails did not count? She eventually tried to cover the error and told me I was called by phone (I showed her my call history I wasn’t, and my number is French not international, and my phone is not broken) then a man with the same attitude came and told me there must be « an error in my phone ». I was very frustrated and insulted, and left only when I asked « did you make an error? » and they admitted that they made an error - which still didn’t come with an apology in any form. Sorry to the chef who was clearly embarrassed. (My grandma was Japanese, I lived in Japan (Hakuba/Okinawa/Tokyo✨), I was excited to try your food! I need to leave this message though to warn people of this experience before they cross Paris in an uber at 21h30 to not eat anything, get spoken to very...

The concept is interesting enough: a 8-course menu for 12 persons in a very small restaurant. But when you’re so niche, execution has to be top-notch, and unfortunately we were far from it.
First, half of the guests are facing the wall and not the kitchen. So you have to get there early, even though they’re late. Meh.
Then, we were served a wine that was 3y younger than on the menu (3!!) and when we pointed it out at the end of the meal, the waiter barely registered it. Waiter that for most of the meal was silent and served us quite expressly - we felt rushed.
Finally, the food. Overall it was good but nothing exceptional. The menu you’re given is part useless because it changes so often and when meals correspond, the one key original component is absent from your plate. And the idea of putting just one plate in front of both guests is not super convincing when you’re served pasta or flan.
I guess you can have a great meal if you’re lucky with the menu, but I wouldn’t...
