Le Cépage Montmartrois — Restaurant in Paris

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the very first bite, this restaurant transported us straight into la belle France. We ordered the filet de bœuf biologique au poivre de Malabar and the macaroni au pesto rosso, and mon dieu, our taste buds were literally dancing! The beef was tender, perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was so divine that I actually Googled how to saucer élégamment (soak up the sauce with bread) just to capture every last drop. The meal was so extraordinary that we didn’t want the evening to end. So, naturally, we extended the pleasure with trois desserts — each one délicieux, and each of us completely adored our choice. As if that wasn’t enough, the final touch was a complimentary shot without alcool fresh, refined, and the perfect way to say à bientôt. 😘 The service? Absolutely incroyable. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that our experience was nothing less than magnifique. If you want a dining experience that makes you sigh c’est la vie in the very best way, this is the place....

We had the prix fixe lunch, which was excellent. I had smoked salmon and Chateaubriand (grilled steak) while my husband had terrine of foie gras and a baked filet of fish. Everything was delicious, fresh and beautifully prepared. My steak came with steamed vegetables, sautéed potatoes and a slice of vegetable gratin, rich with cheese. For dessert, I had a millefeuille with vanilla cream, and he had the pavlova garnished with berries. The custard and the berries were fresh, the meringue and the pastry were crunchy, and both desserts were delightful.

In addition to the quality of the food, I was struck by the efficiency of the service. Our servers were friendly and helpful, but also quick. I'm used to service in French restaurants being pretty laid back—sometimes to the point of exasperation. This place felt, well, American in its attentiveness, energy and efficiency. Terrible service, we waited too long to make an order. So as a result we went to another place. Weird customer experience. But I guess it’s quite common problem in Paris.

Upd: I don’t need to taste “cuisine” to understand that I should not pay a cent in this place. In the first 5 sec I felt like I’m not welcomed, it was so easy to read directly from the waiter’s face. I don’t have an idea why it was such a mess, maybe because we refuced to seat at the table that was offered. We just asked for the shadow side and additional chair. But obviously it was too much for the waiter because never came back to us )) Well I rather stay hungry than pay for such "hospitality".
