I had to update my comment. Let the directors read this. It may help the chain. For a quick low quality meal, and for groups or families, it's an option. Rates a bit cheaper than in a normal restaurant, but the food really needs to be re-evaluated. The staff service, too. And the cutlery and glasses need better cleaning. No organic food. The veggies are "take as much as you want", but what does one take more of, if it doesn't taste good?! Not fresh. Only the mashed potatoes and green beans are tasty. The salad bar, is good too. Warm meals are deep frozen, and not tasty. Only the plat du jour, can be good and tasty. Sometimes nice deserts. Staff doesn't speak English, and not helpful nor kind ! Especially one manager, I think he's called Gerard, is absolutely awful! He rows with everybody, with clients, and employees are afraid of him! Shouts, is rude and extreemly agressive and not righteous. An example: A long black hair was found wrapped around an egg in a plate of salad. When showing and asking him politely to change the plate of salad with that egg, he only shouted many times, "ce n'est pas à volonté"!!! (It's not as much as you want). But, that wasn't the question! Plus, the lady hadn't taken "à volonté"! She just brought the plate back because of the dirty egg! He didn't want to exchange anything!! Nor did he excuse himself about the dirty egg, which should be his only answer! No, instead, he only scolded the customer for the wrong things!! And on top, saying that she didn't understand him!!! Yikes!! What a stupid idiot of a manager!! By God!! Is that possible!! Yes, in Paris, rudeness is standard!! No quality, nor service. Alas!! But, how does Flunch still want to stand if the quality of service and food is awful??? And, I'm not a tourist! I live here, and am French too!! I just wrote this in English so that it's understandable for various people. Fluch really needs to review all their restaurants, big time!! In the 1980'ies an '90'ies it was much the same. But at that time, it was ok...Not ok for nowadays. And, the staff was pleasant, even kind, back then. One could even place a joke or be helped by them if needed. The interior decor was cosier, more benches and cosy corners. Nowadays, its just a kantine, cold and noisy. Ugh!! I like self service, but this chain needs upgrading, urgently !! I hope the directors read this. It can surely help them to move forwards in a better way. 👍 I also encourage them to not throw unspoiled food in the bin, but to give it to the homeless or even clients, (if they want). Doggy bags, are very common nowadays. Flunch throws tons of food away, which is a crime, known how many people are poor or in need of a meal. Please, change your...
Read moreLet's face it: the food is not good. It's not horrible, but, for example, I just had broccoli that was WAY overcooked and even my salad is underwhelming. But that's really not a problem. The value is incredible. If you're on the run and you want something reasonably healthy, it's one of the best places to go. One of their mottos is: "vegetables are all-you-eat." It's not completely unlike what Americans call a "buffet". But reach item is individually priced. It's very cheap. And, again, vegetables are the exception: you always have fun access to the vegetables buffet.
"Vegetables" include pasta, with sauce available, rice, mashed potatoes and other options that are not the healthiest either. There are non-starchy vegetables, which is great if you want an alternative to fries or a small salad, which is what you'd get at a real cafe. There's is also gravy available in the all-you-can-eat section. A meat selection can be between €10 and €12. Salads are priced based on the size of the plate. The most expensive buffet salad is around 8€, there are also prepared salads, like Cæsar. I have not tried the desserts but they look okay. Everything gets you access to the vegetables buffet.
The tables are very big. That's extremely important to me. A lot of places have tiny round tables that are too small for the plates the food comes on. Here, the tables are very big and rectangular. There's room to spread out and chat. Some tables have power outlets provided nearby, making an okay place to work. The music is a bit loud, but it's a casual restaurant, not a shared office space. There's wifi provided, although it doesn't seem to be working today. I just saw a party that included a man in a suit leave. He didn't look like a student on a budget, just someone who wanted a quick, simple, no-nonsense meal.
Having this available in the middle of Paris is pretty amazing. I can't give it five stars because, again, the food does not taste great. Or good. If you want better, there's plenty of that in the area, but not at the same price. Again, if you want fast, reasonably healthy and incredible cheap food, that's still fairly good quality, I don't know of any place that fits the...
Read moreThis place was so horrible, i would give it 0 stars if i could. But thats not possible so i gave it one star each. How can i even start describing this place. I dont even write reviews and the fact i felt the urge to write one all of the sudden sais enough. First of all i went here with school so i didnt expect it to be like a 5 star restaurant, but i also didn't expect it to be THIS HORRIBLE. This place is NOT suitable for a large amount of people. Not only was all the food thats supposed to be served warm COLD AS HELL but they made us all wait infront of the door for hours when we literally booked the place in advance, they only let us in when my bestfriend almost fainted because she hadn't ate anything for hours and was on her period. And even then they only let a few persons in like it was some fucking VIP restaurant. Anyway ngl the place literally looks like a homeless shelter too, like a food bank you know? Somewhere where they feed the poor, and im sorry for mentioning this twice but i need to put the emphasis on how COLD all the food was served, the ambiance felt like prison to me. Flunch. Never. Again. I do, however, recommend the sushi place next to it, haven't tried it yet but at this point everything looks and is probably better...
