HEADLINE: Saoirse (“sir-shah”) & Adelina will reward your side stop in this authentic Irish oasis. In gobsmacking Paris, with its vibrant and fabled cafe culture, why should I plop onto an Irish pub? Because you require a respite, a bit of down time to recharge in the unique manner that the Irish invented, just as the French invented the cafe; both genres have conquered the world, and understandably so. Each provide weary travelers and beleaguered residents alike a venue of rest, albeit it in different, yet complementary, manners. Cafes justifiably dominate Paris, their place of origin, just as pubs dominate their place of origin, Dublin. As both cities suffered Viking invasions, I proffer that your invasion of (or residency in) Paris should would benefit from an occasional session at one of Paris’ — surprisingly— myriad authentic Irish public houses. …surprising not if you know the history. James Joyce lived here longer than he did in his famously native Dublin; he wrote Dubliners, Ulysses, and all else here. Oscar Wilde breathed his last here; “These curtains are appalling, one of us had to go”. Stop for a recharge. I reckon you’ll be back.

Meant to this this months ago after my October '22 visit. My last night in France after a 35 day visit. Left my 35mm camera on the sidewalk table while I ordered my Kilkenny at the bar. A distinguished Frenchman, and I sensed a regular, caught up w me to return my camera. Offered my sincere, Merci beaucoups.for saving my camera. With a pause and a grin , he share "Monsieur... the French!. We give . we do not receive"! Thought it was very clever. Enjoyed the crowd, the staff and selections. Found abit of Ireland in Paris for the yearn of an Irish Red.

Just ok. Guinness was ok but not the best. Food was ok but not outstanding. There was a mistake with our order so I ended up eating way after my family had finished their meals. I did enjoy the stew but there wasn't a lot of it and it wasn't very hot. In all fairness one member of staff made up for the issue another member of staff came over to admit it was her fault and the manager came over to check we were ok. Mistakes happen and that was as good a response as could be asked for.

Like any Irish pub, they will serve the typical Kilkenny, Guinness, o'hare beers and some more. Their price for beer is also quite typical for Paris, 8€+ for a pint. However, the snacking food is terrible. It is extremely expensive for very little and bad food. I had a mixed platter that comes at 25 Euro only to end up with an average sized plate with 5mozarella sticks, a small portion of fries, 6-7 onion rings and a couple of chicken bits. None of them were good and were obviously all frozen food. As for the Covid part, there was absolutely no temperature check and no safety pass check. Anyone could get in or out. This place is perfect to continue the...

After a long day and lots of walking, we were tired and mainly picked Galway Irish Pub because I love Irish Pubs and Galway was very close by. It turned out to be serendipitous for us. The food is good. It's bar food but very good bar food!! After awhile, we started chatting with the staff Owen and Juliana. TERRIFIC people. We enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation so much that we decided to stay longer, have a few more drinks, relax, and enjoy. If you find yourself in the vicinity of the Notre Dame cathedral, check out Galway. It's a small place that turns out to feel cozy. Great people, good food, and...
