This was the worst Indian food I’ve had in my life and I’ve had it all around the world. The menu seems like a typical Indian food menu but what you receive is far from it. Starting with the biryani which was more like sticky rice you would find in East Asian cuisine and was mixed in with a salad. I’m not sure how much people know about biryani but it’s not typically served with a Caesar salad mixed into it. Next the masala was the most bland tasteless curry I’ve ever had, the chicken was cold too. I decided to eat inside and regretted my decision because for the 60 to 90 minutes I spent in there. I experienced a very unpleasant man who appeared to be the manager/owner. The way he treated his staff was disgusting and I felt sorry for the young employees who are clearly students and maybe put up with him due to desperation of needing a job. He would micromanage everything and at one point he even snatched the sponge from his employee and started showing him how to clean tables. There was no difference in the way the young chap was doing it compared to how this unpleasant man was telling him to do so. At one point he was saying very nasty things about one employee to another employee. Me being south Asian understood everything he said albeit I don’t look south Asian. I think this is why he was so blatant in being nasty in front of me not thinking I would understand. This man was a tall individual with a big belly and was wearing a bangle that people of the (Sikh) faith wear. I only mention this in case he is not the owner and so the owner can look into his behaviour. Lastly the toilet facilities were mediocre. They had one toilet for both gender’s and there was no lock on the door. The soap had not been replenished unless their idea of replenishment was to just add water to it when it ran low. Before writing this review I did have a read of the many other reviews left. I’m shocked to see people calling this food good and it just makes me think that either these reviews are fake or the reviewers just haven’t had good Indian...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant during our trip to Paris, drawn in by the surprisingly high ratings. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
The place is small and cozy, and it seemed clean—until we used the washroom, which was tiny and had an unpleasant odor. Definitely avoid it if you can.
Now, the food. We ordered the chicken biryani, which, while mildly tasty, bore no resemblance to an actual chicken biryani. Then came the chicken tikka—visibly loaded with food coloring (guessing) and tasted so bad that I had to leave three pieces untouched. We also tried what I believe was the Patiala vegetarian menu (a bowl with rice, dal, and palak paneer). Sadly, it was just as bad—bland and uninspired.
The biggest shocker? The "coconut dessert." It was literally just grated coconut. Nothing else. I couldn’t believe that was actually being served as dessert.
To top it off, the atmosphere was soured further by how the service staff was treated by the owner or manager. Watching them being spoken to so poorly was uncomfortable and honestly disheartening. A little kindness goes a long way, and it was sorely...
Read moreWe were family of four. We weee hoping for a good food after hectic day and we found this restaurant after searching in google with good ratings.
But we were turkey disgusted. DONT FALL FOR THE RESTAURANT PREVIOUS REVIEWS.
We had ordered food and the restaurant was completely empty except a table which left when we arrived. The place itself is very small and congested. They use food which has been used by others. I saw it from my eyes that they used the same left over pieces of chicken from the other people and gave it to us. I could see it as I was going to restroom which was down and the kitchen is visible from the small window.
It’s completely unhygienic and please please do not visit this restaurant ever.
Specially people with kids. We did not even had food, the manager was very hostile when we asked about the incident.
Not fit to be in hospitality...
