Superb Food and Unmatched Hospitality

During our short stay in Paris, we had the pleasure of dining at Gavroche—and it was such a fantastic experience that we couldn’t resist coming back for a second visit. From the peaceful atmosphere to the outstanding food and exceptional service, it was truly a memorable experience.

The owner and his wife were incredibly accommodating, going out of their way to make our family feel at home. They were especially wonderful with our small children, ensuring they were comfortable and had plenty of options to choose from. Their genuine hospitality made the entire experience feel even more special.

Now, let’s talk about the food—superb doesn’t even begin to cover it. Each dish was a perfect balance of flavors, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Whether it was a delicate appetizer, a perfectly cooked main, or a delicious dessert, everything was top-notch. The fact that we decided to return for another visit during our short stay speaks volumes about how much we enjoyed the meals!

The atmosphere at Gavroche is also something to note. It’s quiet, calming, and beautifully designed, creating an ideal environment for a relaxed dining experience. The subtle background music and soft lighting further enhance the peaceful vibe, making it a perfect spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy a leisurely meal.

In summary, Gavroche exceeded all our expectations. With its superb food, top-tier hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere, it’s no surprise we came back for a second round. If you're in Paris and looking for an exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend a visit to Gavroche—you...

My wife and I were in Paris as part of a European Tour. Our first day in Paris, we stopped to eat here due to the great Google ratings compared to others in the area. We were a bit skeptical due to the lower number of reviews, though we still decided to try it and I am so glad we did.

We met with our server, who we later discovered was the owner, Victor, who took care of us throughout the night. He was very attentive, friendly, and was super down to earth. He checked on us frequently and we had some actual good conversation. He also spoke English fluently which made the dining experience much easier.

I ordered two items that were specials and I have never had them before, escargot as an appetizer, and Quail for my main meal. Both items were spectacular. The quail was so tender and delicious. I was very impressed and satisfied with my choices.

I can honestly say that this was the best meal and dining experience I had on our entire Europe Trip. That is saying something considering we visited seven countries, including spending four days in Italy.

We felt so welcome, had such an amazing experience, and enjoyed some absolutely amazing food. I truly recommend this establishment. Thank you, Victor, for the...

If you’re searching for a dining experience that feels like a warm embrace, look no further!

I recently discovered a charming restaurant, recently opened by an incredibly welcoming couple who truly understand the essence of hospitality. This cozy spot is all about friendly vibes and exceptional service, making it a standout in the vibrant Montmartre neighborhood.

I had the pleasure of sitting at the highest point in Paris, soaking in the breathtaking views while indulging in some fabulous dishes. To start, the lightly sautéed snails served on mini potato slices drizzled with a garlicky pesto were simply divine! Following that, I savored a succulent cut of Angus beef, known as la Poire or Merlan, paired with freshly made fries and a crisp side salad—pure perfection!

And let’s not forget dessert! We couldn’t resist trying the classic French bistro delights: a warm Tarte Tatin with caramelized apple and fresh cream, alongside a velvety Crème Brûlée that was the perfect sweet finale to an unforgettable meal.

If you find yourself in the Montmartre area, do yourself a favor and pop into this delightful restaurant. Trust me, you won’t be...

The Good. Wonderful location, quaint and near the cobblestone road to sit and people watch. The service was kind and acceptable. The Bad. Everything else. I rarely leave poor reviews unless it really warrants it. This one unfortunately really warrants it and we left very disappointed. All of us ordered a cut of beef from the menu. All of us ordered medium rare. The beef was watery, and rare. Little to no seasoning and was completely inedible. No amount of chewing would engage the swallowing reflex and everyone left 1/2 to 3/4 of the beef on the plate. The potatoes, while flavourful were reheated. The salad dressing was the only “saviour” on the side salad. As a Canadian eating beef in France for the first time perhaps my expectations were set higher or I’m not familiar with how the majority of French like their beef. But I’m well versed in cooked meat. The food all came out way too fast for a proper medium rare plus resting. I would not recommend this establishment. It’s a shame because the ambience was lovely. Tres disappointed.
