IT Trattoria — Restaurant in Paris

MY STUFF GOT STOLEN!!

This is a really disappointing experience that I was not expecting at a restaurant in this area. I went to this restaurant after doing some shopping so I had a shopping bag with me. I was sitting at a table waiting for a friend, and as soon as my friend arrived I went to greet him and left my bag at the table. I had just gotten up for a minute and the waiter took my bag and kept it inside. I did not give it much thought at that time, I thought she was just keeping it inside to clear the space. When I was leaving the restaurant, I asked for my shopping bag back. At first she pretended there was no bag but eventually gave it back. Again I thought she might have forgotten and did not give it much thought at this point of time. On the way back home when I looked into my bag I realised some of my stuff was missing. I went back and asked about this and the same waiter refused to acknowledge that she knew me. After I told this to someone else at the restaurant, she recognised me suddenly but now she said that a customer gave her the bag. However, this wasn’t true as I myself had seen her taking my bag inside. I did not argue too much with them there because the stuff that was stolen wasn’t extremely valuable and I did not want to create a scene there. However, this was an extremely disappointing experience.

C'est une expérience vraiment décevante à laquelle je ne m'attendais pas dans un restaurant de ce quartier. Je suis allée dans ce restaurant après avoir fait des courses, j'avais donc un sac de courses avec moi. J'étais assise à une table en attendant un ami, et dès que mon ami est arrivé, je suis allée le saluer et j'ai laissé mon sac à la table. Je venais de me lever une minute et la serveuse a pris mon sac et l'a gardé à l'intérieur. Je n'y ai pas prêté beaucoup d'attention à ce moment-là, je pensais qu'elle le gardait juste à l'intérieur pour libérer de l'espace. En quittant le restaurant, j'ai demandé qu'on me rende mon sac de courses. Au début, elle a fait comme si elle n'avait pas de sac, mais elle l'a finalement rendu. Encore une fois, j'ai pensé qu'elle avait peut-être oublié et je n'y ai pas prêté beaucoup d'attention à ce moment-là. Sur le chemin du retour, lorsque j'ai regardé dans mon sac, j'ai réalisé que certaines de mes affaires avaient disparu. Je suis retournée chez moi et j'ai posé des questions à ce sujet et la même serveuse a refusé de reconnaître qu'elle me connaissait. Après avoir raconté cela à quelqu'un d'autre au restaurant, elle m'a soudainement reconnue, mais maintenant elle a dit qu'un client lui avait donné le sac. Mais ce n’était pas vrai, car je l’avais moi-même vue prendre mon sac à l’intérieur. Je n’ai pas trop discuté avec eux là-bas, car les objets volés n’avaient pas une valeur énorme et je ne voulais pas faire de scène. Cependant, ce fut une expérience...

IT Trattoria is a decent Italian restaurant in Paris with good service. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Restaurant ran out of beer and red wine for lunch. Staff working in this place are idiots. They gave my pasta order to our friend. Our friend tasted the pasta to find out it was not what she ordered, so she returned it. Staff later tried to serve that the same pasta dish to me. Disgusting. I had to wait for extra 20 minutes for my pasta dish. When I asked for a bit of agula topping, they even tried to charge me extra. Another person tried to order the coffee and desert with the price that he scanned code on the table. This Restaurant again wanted to charge more, claiming that the price has increased.
