Stay away. An Arctic Adventure in Paris: A Frozen Fiasco
Well, where do I even begin with this Arctic expedition disguised as an Airbnb stay in Paris? If you are coming, please read until the end (that way, you can make an informed decision of where to stay). Let's just say, if you're a fan of cold showers (during winter), elusive washing machines, and the delightful aroma of sewage, then this place is an absolute dream come true!
The first day, we were greeted with the charming news that hot water was an intermittent luxury. Who needs warmth anyway, right? For 3 to 4 long hours on one day and a whopping 6-8 hours on the next, we were treated to an invigorating experience reminiscent of polar bear plunges. Oh, the joy of watching 3 shivering children (under the age of 8) try to brave the chill in the dead of winter! Amazing experience!
Now, let's talk about the washing machine, or should I say, the elusive unicorn of cleanliness. This mythical creature was locked away in a secret chamber, known only to the brave souls willing to venture down to the clothing shop to retrieve the key. Who needs convenience when you can embark on a grand adventure each time you wish to do a load of laundry? Truly, a logistical masterpiece!
And let's not forget the pièce de résistance – the bathroom. Ah, the scent of Parisian charm mixed with the unmistakable fragrance of a malfunctioning cesspool. It was like strolling through the streets of Paris while simultaneously being transported to the depths of a sewage treatment plant. Simply delightful!
As for the property manager, well, they certainly embodied the true essence of hospitality – by being as welcoming as a closed museum on a Monday. Their cold demeanor towards us tourists truly captured the essence of the city's management style.
All in all, this experience was a chilling reminder that even in the city of love, you can still find yourself in a frozen nightmare. If you enjoy masochistic adventures, sub-zero showers, laundry quests, and the aromas of a sewer, then this Airbnb is the perfect choice for you. For the rest of us mere mortals, I would strongly advise seeking warmer pastures. The price is too expensive for this experience. Bon voyage, and may your future travels be filled with hot water and...
Read moreother people were right. Stay away, for real. It’s way more expensive than what you deserve.
🚩Room: Bad.
The AC didn’t work. Not at all. The remote control was just for show. The TV was broken before we moved in, there was only voice, no images showed; it also turned on by itself so we had it unplugged for the whole stay (lucky we didn’t have any need to use it). The bathroom door is.. how to say, impossible to open and close without having to force it, hard. There was only 2 toilet-paper rolls, and we were 5 people staying for 4 days!
🚩Service: also very bad. There was no reception area/ receptionist. If you want to check in, go to the shop next door (which strangely never opens). So when you’re in need, there are phone numbers to contact, yet they will put you on “leave the message” if they don’t want to answer your call. Even when i knocked on the door of the guy who was responsible for the customer care, and i could hear his phone was ringing / noise of video playing inside, I received an auto message saying that i need to state clearly what my purpose was when I called this number. Very soon after I replied, I received just another phone number from that guy (?!).
⭐️ for good location: near metro line 9 and 8 so you can get out of that place to be in the city the whole day.. but when you get back to the apartment… it was a real headache.
Before coming i saw some people reviewed about this place and its staff, and honestly I can see it...
Read moreI had a really awful experience here. Half the items were missing, so we had very little choice. But on top of that, I called the restaurant to ask if I forgot my glasses there. They were new and pretty expensive. The waitress told me that she clearly remembered me wearing it when I left. This did not make sense for a lot of reasons, so when I asked her if she was sure, she screamed at me and hung up. Then called me back on my number shouting on the phone in hindi (which I don't speak very well), accusing me of calling her a liar. It was very disturbing and left me shaken for days after that.
I'm writing this review after a few weeks of this incident. Clearly the waitress is under enormous work stress for her to react like this over a simple conversation. she was working in the morning when I called for a reservation, was there at the afternoon shift, and the night at 10pm when I called for the glasses. The restaurant needs to stop over working their employees and take better care of them. I'm not writing the name of the waitress so that the restaurant does not penalize her for her actions- everyone has a bad day when the work...
