We went with three friends specifically to try escargot. First of all, I must say that this part of the city is generally used by more locals and the prices are incredibly reasonable.
Escargot was quite delicious, it comes with a wonderfully fragrant pesto in olive oil and served with bread. Rather than being directly distinguishable, the meat's flavor reveals itself as an earthy flavor in this sauce. It's like that fresh rain and earthy smell that fills your nose after the first rain. If you haven't tried it before, you can be sure that it will be much better than you expect!
We also ordered Orientale Pizza to go with escargot. This pizza was quite light with egg and tomato sauce on it and we think it's a very suitable choice for breakfast. If you've had Turkish Pide before, it tastes exactly like it. The dough's flavor and puffiness were nice, we liked it.
We don't want to offend anyone or be misunderstood, but we think that when you go a little outside of the touristic areas in Paris, you notice the judgmental looks of people. When our orders were taken, when we paid the bill and when we generally interacted with each other, we felt unwanted. When we asked what the Poivron in the pizza was, we were met with a condescending attitude like "Don't you know what it is?" Even our water came to the table very late, much later than the escargots. There was no particular fault in the service and they even charged our phones when we asked, but they were definitely not friendly.
We don't plan on going again, but the food was delicious and the...
Read moreI was looking for a French restaurant to try and after scrolling on google I stumble upon this spot. I was super nervous since my French is probably worse than a 3 years old but I successfully enter the establishment. It was a pretty cozy spot with not a lot of people (I arrived at 3pm).
I got the steak which comes with fries and a small salad for 21 euro, I also ordered a Nutella crepe for 5.5. The steak was cooked nicely (à point as I ordered), the salad was well just a salad but the fries were good, salted properly and fluffy. Maybe I eat less than your average male buy I did find the meal very full filling.
Anyhow the main reason why I gave this place a five star was because of the server. When I first came in, I thought the server was cold but by the end of the meal when I caved in and talked to him in English to asked about what he had said he was really sweet. The guy even apologized to me about speaking French too fast! Whoever you were monsieur tu es...
Read moreThis is an excellent restaurant and a truly wonderful place to dine. They offer an impressive range of French cuisine, featuring specialties from various regions like the South of France, Brittany, and Normandy with excellent Bourgogne red wine. The menu even extends to neighboring countries, with Italian dishes that are prepared using 100% imported ingredients from Italy.
Everything is homemade with fresh, high-quality components. We experienced no wait time, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making sure our entire party was satisfied. Our group of six friends felt so comfortable that we ended up staying for over five hours.
Without a doubt, I highly recommend this place. It was an unforgettable...
