L'Afrodisiac — Restaurant in Paris

Terrible experience at this place...and the number on the website doesn't even work. From when we walked in, we didn't even feel welcome, we felt like burdens. We made a reservation which clearly didn't even matter as they just shoved us on a table in the corner, which was literally freezing as it was next to the window. When we asked to move upstairs, they said no because they hadn't cleaned upstairs. She offered us the table next to us, which we declined as even the ladies on the table next to us were complaining about the cold. On top of that, the women that had finished eating from when we walked in didn't have their plates cleared long after they left and they were even still there when we left (about 2 hours later). In fact, every empty table had food on it. Disgusting!

They took way too long to take our order, didn't even offer us water or ask for allergies. The lady was pretending she didn't understand my friend's French which was agitating her on top of the cold and the long wait time. Our food came out in waves which was a stark contrast to how it is in London, where we are from, because if a group orders food, it all comes together and if it doesn't you are at least informed. She said she would come back for our drinks order, and didn't even bother. We asked for sauce tomate with our fish but when the food came there was no sauce tomate in sight. When we asked the server, she then said there is no more sauce tomate but AGAIN, failed to inform us of that or ask if it was okay to replace.

The prawns tasted stale, the tilapia was alright but the portion sizes of the sides like fufu and atiéké are ridiculous. Clearly understaffed as there were 2 servers between the whole restaurant, the dirty plates were right next to where the kitchen serves food from and were piling up (probably why they took so long to clear things up) and after all of that, they had the cheek to tell us the service charge is not removable.

Absolute disgrace of a place, I will not be visiting again. Could find other restaurants for a fraction of the price with service that is...

I must say, I was blown away. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was immaculate. The lighting was just right, the décor was modern and stylish, and the atmosphere was relaxing.

Upon being seated, we were greeted by our server who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She gave us some great recommendations and ensured that all of our needs were met throughout the evening.

But let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, the food! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients were clearly fresh and of high quality. I particularly loved the steak, which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was simply impeccable. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two or just a casual night out with friends, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Il fut un temps, ce restaurant était bien. Depuis que le personnel a changé, c'est le désastre. Je cumule maintenant deux mauvaise expériences et je ne compte plus y retourner.

1. Pour mon anniversaire j'ai choisi d'y aller avec 3 amis. Nous avions réservé pour 18h30 et sommes arrivés à 18h20, ild nous ont laissé dehors dans le froid jusqu'à 18h50 car ils ont oublié de prévoir une table pour nous. Ensuite ils nous ont installé dans la salle d'en haut avant de nous oublier. Jusqu'à 19:45, personne n'est venu prendre nos commandes, et après avoir pris nos commandes ils nous servent 1h après des boissons que nous n'avons pas commandé, confondant les commandes avec une autre table. Pour ensuite nous demander de changer de table et nous garder jusqu'à 21h30 sans verres ni couverts, se fâchent quand on leur demande de l'eau des verres et des couverts. Le serveur m'a même donné un verre qui se trouvait sur une table qu'il débarrassait. Ils ont également confondu nos plats, mis du piment partout, sans jamais s'en excuser. Pour une réservation à 18h30, nous avons mangé à 21h45.

Le même soir une autre table se plaignait du service, des disputes se sont repetés tout e la soirée avec des clients.

Donc, n'y allez pas le respect ne sera au rendez-vous.

2. hier, 28 décembre 2024 Pour se retrouver avec des amis nous y sommes retournés car ils ont des tables de plus de 20 personnes. Le service était encore une fois exécrable. Notre réservation était à 19h, nous sommes arrivés à 18h57 ( la réservation était pour 20 personnes et la moitié était là)

Dès le début nous avons affaire aux serveurs qui se plaignent de leur manager je cite: je dois prendre votre commande maintenant sinon mon patron va se fâcher.

Nous passons nos commandes et après 1h on nous sert, et je n'ai pas mon plat, ils ont oublié de le préparer.

Finalement 2h après j'ai mon plat mais on nous presse de quitter les lieux, il est 21h30 à ce moment-là. Et ça fait 10 min que 10% d'entre nous ont reçu leurs plats. Nous avons encore nos boissons et nos Plats. Nous demandons alors à emporter nos plats, mais on nous demande de "prendre nos assiettes et de descendre avec à l'accueil car aucun serveur ne veut le faire".

Les serveurs qui s'accusent les uns les autres des fautes dans le service comme le retard des plats ou le service exécrable.

Nous sommes empressés de partir, pour ne pas dire que nous avons été chassé sous prétexte que certains d'entre nous sont arrivés en retard.

-Nous avons payé une assiette de plus alors que ce sont eux qui ont confondu les commandes , et une boisson imaginaire qui ne venait pas de notre table

La caissière, qui était aussi notre serveuse se dispute avec l'un des nôtres , elle est malpolie et désagréable. Et refuse de nous remettre notre justificatif de paiement .
