L'Antre Amis — Restaurant in Paris

We visited this restaurant because it was highly recommended by our cab driver coming from the airport, and our Airbnb host, so we took it upon faith 2 different people, it must be good.

Well, they weren't wrong!!! Wow, was it good.

Our first visit we had different plates and entrées, and all of which were incredible. The escargots were extremely tasty, and their fried shrimp to die for.

My wife and I ordered the ribeye steak for 2, and others took there own individual plates, which each dish was incredible.

Their wines are fairly priced, and the creme brulé, extremely delicious.

We were so impressed we reserved it immediately for our last night before leaving Paris.

Of course, equally the exact carbon copy of the first visit, they did not drop the ball, and were equally delicious and identical on the second visit.

I definitely recommend...

A wonderful, sophisticated yet convivial restaurant tucked away in the pleasant and residential neighborhood of Place De Breteuil.

Friendly staff whom we were lucky to have one of the waiters who did well to translate the entire menu to us in English and carried a warm smile throughout our service.

Menu is perfectly portioned and reasonably priced by Paris standards. (E.g. Menu Découverte would include an amuse-bouche, entrée, plat et dessert for 35€ - which is inclusive of tax & service). Clean, contemporary presentation (and ambience) that matches the quality and traditional execution of fine French cuisine.

Lunches are easier to come without reservations on weekdays but recommend a reservation if coming for dinner service.

I was there for Christmas Eve with my family (four people). Our server showed us a whole chicken and told us that it was going to be our dinner.

Unfortunately, they ended up bringing two chicken breasts in four pieces. It tasted horrible; like stale chicken.

Our dessert was a stale lemon-flavoured pastry. It was in the shape of a Christmas tree, most of it being filled with whipped cream. It seemed like they had put zero effort into making their dessert unique and enjoyable.

This restaurant was definitely a disappointment for me and my family. We expected more, especially on such a special night.
