We stumbled upon Cafe L'Attirail when we were exploring town. This place was a very affordable and traditional restaurant near where we were staying. Very good service, as well. It is a small restaurant located in a narrow street and is opened late, unlike the other restaurants in the area. Just before we entered, a thick strong smell of cigarette smoke rushed into my nose. I heard lots of laughing, and talking. Clearly, it was a place for locals to enjoy dinner with their friends late at night. We were given a seat at the front of the Cafe; it was a little cramped with only two small tables and stools to sit on.
The waiter was kind when he asked us what we wanted to order. Around us, all the other meals on the other diner's dishes looked very good, and we took a bit to find out what we wanted. Finally we agreed on ordering duck, rabbit, and steak, all at a very reasonable price. They served wine, and the food came quickly.
The duck was very tasty, and was served with seasoned diced potatoes. On the side there were also salad greens and vinegar dressing. This was a very satisfying meal.
The rabbit had a very smooth texture, and tasted almost like chicken. It was served with delicious noodles in cream sauce, and the same potatoes that we loved.
Steak. This was truly our favorite and we ate every last bit of it. It was slightly sweet and soft.
I really enjoyed my stay, just because I actually felt like a true Parisian! I highly recommend this place if you are craving French food that is opened...
Read moreOne of the cheapest place to get a beer in Paris (€3,30 for a pint 24/7), nice little plates of grilled potatoes handed over freely - even if they tend to get smaller and smaller. However, some of the staff members are not very nice. But I would still absolutely recommend the place because of how cheap...
