So we went here with high expectations, which weren’t really fullfilled. We choose the 5 course surprise dinner, for me no meat. As an appetizer we got a soup, Thai and Japanese inspired. The soup was nice, however nothing special. We got some bread and butter on the side, but the butter tasted strange (we later got some more butter, which tasted nice). As a first course we received a beet dish, which was in my opinion to ‘beety’ and nothing special. As a second course I received a dish with egg and some sort of jelly, which was too much of the same texture in my opinion + the jelly did not have much flavour. The boyfriend got a dish with fois gras, which he liked. As a third course we both got fish which was good, nothing to say about that. As a fourth course my boyfriend had pigeon, which had parts that were very undercooked, actually just raw (he asked for it to be cooked medium). He is not the type of person who would complain, but this was just too raw even for him. I had the coquilles which were nicely cooked. As a fifth dish we had a sweet hazelnut dessert, which again was ok. There were some things about the food which were just not good. However, we did really like the style of the restaurant and the sweet waitress we had. For 55 euros and with the good reviews we expected to be wowed, this unfortunately...

From start to finish, the meals were nothing short of spectacular.
We had lunch and took entree-plat-dessert
Price was around 39-45 per person for lunch (Déjeuner)
Ambience: 9/10 Service: 9/10 Food: 9/10 Wine: 8.5/10
The chef knows how to make your belly happy. We were all satisfied with the dishes served, the presentation and the taste are on point 👍
Entrée: Gambas croustillantes- perfectly fried shrimp with well seasoned salad and the purée was delicious!
Asperges blanches- perfection 👍 the small different sauces in the plate were complimenting each other.
Plats: Pork cheek (joue de cochon) -this was really good 😊 the sauce is flavorful and the pork is very tender (we all love this dish)
Thon mi cuit- the ponzu is not overpowering or overwhelming. Thon was very delicious
Dessert:
Chocolate souffle with yogurt ice cream- nicely served. Ooey gooey fudge-y chocolatey taste. Very good, rich and sublime, we love this.
Highly recommend this bistro and we’ll definitely come back...

We attended L'Escudella Bistronomie as we were attending a UNESCO event and needed to find somewhere to eat nearby. Everything about the restaurant was extraordinarily impressive.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the service was way beyond what you would ordinarily expect. When my colleague left the restaurant without his bag and we realised, turning around we saw the waiter running back up the road with the bag to return it! At every turn they were helpful and offered recommendations.
The food and drink was extremely good, as you would expect of a Parisian restaurant that takes pride in its cuisine. This is clearly a restaurant with a team that has a distinct sense of responsibility when it comes to delivering an outstanding culinary experience at a very reasonable price.
