The restaurant seats about 35 people. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff were all very accommodating and pleasant. The quality of the meal was mixed. We both chose beef (although different dishes) and each were a bit disappointed. I had the Chateaubriand w/ Bernaise Sauce. It was quite tasty but the piece of meat was had a lot of sinews and was difficult, therefore, to chew - which certainly took away from the tastiness of the dish. My husband had the Boeuf Bourgingon. He said the gravy was thin, more like a soup. He said the flavor was good, but he liked his own better.

The other plates were: I had the escargot. They're pretty standard wherever you get them, so they were fine. And I had for desert a soft white cheese with honey. I was expecting "soft" to mean something along the lines of a triple creme cheese, but what I got was basically yogurt, in looks, consistency and flavor. It was fine for what it was, but it wasn't much. (I have since learned that fromage blanc is a specific type of desert - a loose white cheese.) My husband had the salad with goat cheese turnovers. This, along with the ice cream he ordered, were the hits of the evening.

It was a pleasant experience with some disappointments. I'd be willing to try it again - but just not...

Love LOVE love this lil french gem!

Brought here by a friend who is a local Parisen, and was not disappointed! We went by lunch— which I highly recommend you reserve a table online (though some ppl just walk in but goodluck with that! Itd packed!)

The three course meal during lunchtime is only 19.50€. There us a wide array of choices for entrees, main and desserts. All French style classics.

The french onion soup is a tad bit salty, the escargot cookee in butter parsley is HEAVENLY. The bouef bourguignon tastes really nice and hearty, and the canard confit stole the show for us! To finish it all we had crème brûlée and dark chocolate mousse. I preferred the creme brûlée! Its light, not obnoxiously sweet!

Overall, 10 on 10! Not only the food is amazing but the staff as well. I was with my huge backpacking bag and thought it will be a problem but the lady who was our waitress was super sweet about it :) Good service!

Also the place is an old jazz-blues bar :) youll see...

The food was just ok, good for the price but nothing to write home about. I went for dinner with my boyfriend and got the 3-course prix fixe (French onion soup to start, boeuf bourguignon main dish and tiramisu for dessert). The bread in the soup was soggy (it should be toasted and put on the soup right before serving) and the tiramisu was served in a cup and consisted of mostly cream (there was one layer of lady fingers at the bottom of the cup, the rest was cream). On top it tasted like they used hot chocolate powder rather than actual cocoa powder.

The service was fine. They had a lovely restaurant cat but caught me feeding her and one of the wait staff grabbed her by the scruff of the neck and took her, yowling, into the back of the restaurant. While I can understand not wanting the restaurant patrons to feed the cat, I found the rough handling of her unnecessary and distressing to see. One should never carry a cat by the skin of their neck, especially...

We stumbled across this part of Paris last night having left the Louvre/Norte Dam areas. The cobbled streets were packed with what felt like locals, loads of places to eat and drink. We walked past this authentic Parisian restaurant and saw the set menu and felt we couldn’t go wrong at €24 per person! WOW! Blown away. Food was ace, service friendly and prompt. Will happily review this place and reccomend to others. We had the escargots (had to try them) they were fab ane parsley butter was ace, the fried goats cheese was ace. The beef boirgunon was unreal and melted in the mouth, wifes steak was great. And the crime brûlée was heavenly! Given we were so close to such a popular tourist part of town we were blown away with the quality of food and the service for so little cost. With tip we spent €80 and we both had two drinks too! Defo worth a visit!!

Usually when it’s a room full of locals, you know you’ve hit a right spot. In this case, another reason for its popularity may be the extremely value-for-money sets @ $20 euro: which gives you an entrée, main & dessert. We’ve had better onion soup elsewhere, but the escargot was a delight. The star though are our mains - pork ribs lathered in semi sweet sticky sauce glaze (felt like a red wine reduction) that was tender and fatty. Also, the husband raved about his rump steak expertly executed at medium rare (which can be bloodier than usual in Paris). A common local dessert is the Baba Au Rhum: basically bread soaked in rum and paired with Chantilly cream, almost like a tiramisu without chocolate. I enjoyed the chocolate mousse very much. Excellent service, better yet it closes late. Will be back
