La scuderia — Restaurant in Paris

We had a family meal here after work and enjoyed the food alot. The positives are the quality of the food, the restaurant decor, the overall ambience of the place. The negatives are that both Google and La Fourchette (with whom Google use in order to book a table) said the place opens at 6.30pm, so I booked a table for that time. When I arrived I was told by the waiter that they weren't open until 7pm. When my wife arrived at 6.45 we were offered a table and asked if we wanted drinks so we ordered some wine. The service was very slow despite us being the only customers, there was no water brought out to us until I requested it (which is unheard of in France) and no wine glasses until I asked for those too. The waiter however was friendly enough and even gave my 2 year old son some candy just before we left. Restaurant super mais le service gâche tout et je n’aime pas faire ce genre de commentaire..... Depuis quand, en arrivant avec réservation on nous dit de nous dépêcher de commander? (3 min après être arrivés). Depuis quand nous navons droit qu’a une CARafe pour 10 personnes sous prétexte qu’il n’y en a pas assez ? (5 tables étaient occupées au Max de la soiree) depuis quand on nous retire le peu de pain qu’on avait sous prétexte de « on le garde pour les plats » ? Une fois arrive au plat cela semble problématique d’en demander et c’est l’équivalent d’un petit quignon par personne. Depuis quand on retrouve un cheveux dans sa (succulente) salade? Depuis quand il n’y a pas de sel/poivre déjà sur la table réservée la veille??? Obligée de tout demander, l’air d’embêter .. Presque l’air d’embêter également lorsqu’on demande de se pizzas individuelles, obligé de demander en DÉBUT de repas lorsqu’on veut un dessert et être reçu par un « non fallait demander plus tot » lorsqu’on demande après le le plat??? Depuis quand on doit faire les comptes pour payer???? De plus, être reçu à la caisse d’un air agacé par « nan mais vous me dites le total par personne », on paye pour un service ! C’était pour un anniversaire, très déçu par mal l’ambiance entache l’excellence des plats. Peut être parce qu’une table de 10 jeunes paraît moins...

Really got into my spag bol! And our server was incredible kind (she lent us her phone charger when we needed one desperately!). Wouldn’t say there’s much of an atmosphere but while sitting outside on a warm summer evening, we found there was plenty of people watching to be had. A handy dinner option if you’re staying at Novotel Paris Centre Gare Montparnasse and in the mood...
