ibis Paris Gare Montparnasse 15ème — Hotel in Paris

We walked to this hotel from Gare Nord which took just over an hour and ten minutes and it was straight forward. ||||The hotel sites on the corner just down from Montparnasse train station which is just a couple of minutes away. Opposite the train station entrance is a supermarket so you can do some shopping there, although there are numerous eating outlets also.||||The room was clean and tidy if not small but even smaller is the bathroom thankfully we don't suffer weight problems.||||Sights on the left bank are numerous so they is no need to sit in the room as there are NO English channels available.||||Remember there are no kettles in this Ibis (or any other for that matter) so don't forget your travel kettle and adaptor. ||||The hotel was ideal for our needs, a one night stop over; I'm not sure if we could have stayed two in such cramped conditions.||||Clean hotel, nice staff what more do you...

We stayed at this hotel in late December 2024. The reasons why I cannot recommend this hotel are:

1. The room is extremely small. 2) The room is very very cold even though the A/C operates at full power.
2. Wi-fi is extremely slow. You'll struggle to even send WhatsApp messages.
3. The shower room is extremely small and smells full of mold.
4. The building is very old.
5. No safety box Furthermore, although I'm a Platinum member of Accor (status is available if you stay 60 nights a year), no benefits are available at this hotel. Loyalty to Accor isn't meaningful here.

On the other hand, positive points are:

1. 5-min-walk from Montparnasse station
2. Affordable price compared to other...
