La Seine Café — Restaurant in Paris

Decent place but way too hot inside during the summer. There was a fan inside but it was pointed at the staff behind the bar, which is fair enough as they're the ones working but they could've set up another one for clients...

As we left, someone who had drunk too much didn't make it to the toilet and ended up throwing up on my friend... A waitress was kind enough to help him get cleaned up as best as possible. But another waiter assumed my other friend was running away from the bar to get away without paying although he was running away from the guy throwing up. He then accused my friend of being a thief although he had just paid. I confronted him and he didn't think wrongly accusing a client of being a thief was a big deal. It’s quite a nice, cosy spot close to Bastille.

Service was friendly, but super slow. We had to ask like 3 times for some extra water. When one of the cocktails we had ordered didn’t arrive after 20 minutes and we were ready to move on, we cancelled the cocktail order and asked for the bill. They understood and were still friendly, that postively refreshing for service in this town.

The coffee beans are from ‘Cafe Richard’, so that’s a pretty bland flavour. . . like in most Parisian cafes. It was well-made, though and fairly priced.

The grilled ‘Kefta’ tapas were good, just wish they had not covered them so much with all that brown sauce (wasn’t on the description on the menu).

Lovely looking place. We arrived at 6.30 before a dinner reservation elsewhere at 7 hoping for some drinks. We had our order finally taken at 6.40 after the bar tenders were drinking themselves and laughing behind the bar. We ordered two cocktails and were then told those particular two were not included in happy hour- although this was not originally explained to us-and we chose again, however the bartender didn’t come back until 6.50 to take our order. The drinks were finally made and were sitting on the bar for another 5 minutes before being delivered to us. The bar was not busy at the time so this was quite disappointing.
