La Taverne de l'Olympia — Restaurant in Paris

We arrived in Paris late at night and were looking for a place for a good meal. Not as easy as it seems during COVID times. I saw there were a number of restaurants in this area so we walked over but many were already closed or had closed their kitchen. One of the places we tried pointed us at La Teverne de l'Olympia and was even good enough to walk us over and ask if they could seat us.

There weren't any other patrons on a weekday night but they took us in and served us an amazing meal. We ended up trying their duck and a steak and both were flavorful and delicious. I have to say that I love fries and these were fresh out of the fryer, crisp, and out of this world. I would go back just to have more.

Wonderful owners and staff at this pub-style restaurant! The owners do not speak English but seem to understand what I ask for and will patiently respond in French :D

I found this place because I was using Bounce to store my luggage here for a couple hours before heading to the airport. It was early in the morning and they served breakfast so I stayed for that before doing shopping.

I prefer savoury breakfasts and their set includes coffee, juice, bread with butter and jam, egg, ham, and a sugar crepe. Great value for what you get in this area. Their breakfast is only 14 Euros which is half the price of what you would typically pay...

Œufs mayonnaise with pesto!!! really? Where else do you serve it this way and what is the point? Menu is too big and with too many dishes that kills consistency. Salmon was not from the day (smell) but cooked it did not smell too strong Wine was expensive for its quality. Service was pleasant except what seems to be the manager or landlord who seemed rude and not at ease to speak in english.
