Terrible service! The absolute worst. I wanted to have lunch as a break after visiting Louvre and when waiter finally came he asks in the most rude way if I was alone. So I asked if it was a problem…arrogantly he shrugged not at the moment. I got up and left but made sure to tell the manager this was unacceptable treatment especially as there were lots of empty tables. The “garçon” in question interrupted me but at least his colleague apologised. The excuse was it’s about to get busy (this was after 2pm so not exactly 1pm lunch peak). Regardless I was about to order one of the most expensive drinks and meals so no doubt they would have earned more on “one person” than a couple of people!!! For reference, I have had lunch at many places in Paris, including Place de Vosges and just this morning in the very popular Angelina cafe. Never had this service!! And I even made effort to speak in French. Avoid!! Plenty of other options...
Read moreI went there for a take away coffee on April, 9th 2022. I think I will remember THAT lady collecting payments from the counter desk as the queue had 8 people waiting in. Never ever have I met a person so unpleasant and customer unfriendly. The price of that take away coffee was € 3, 80. I paid in cash and as I was short of cash I paid the remaining 10 cents with the remaining cents I had in my purse. She took the time to passively agressively complained about the coins I gave her for about 5 minutes, stating people should be ashamed of paying in small change and rudely shook the 10 cents that she put in a charity colleting box . I told her to complain to the CEB directly, as I was not responsible for the existence of 5 cents. I thought that place would make a greater use of vending machines than those jerks working at...
Read moreThis was quite possibly the worst excuse for an eatery to which I've ever been, anywhere. The first clue to clear out should have been the cocky waiter who basically threw us in.
The second was the salad my spouse ordered - barely just a collection of salad ingredients in piles on a plate. Also my order had been forgotten, and the waiter did not even pretend to make an excuse for it. My sandwich ended up being a rock hard piece of white bread almost resembling something one might grab at a gas station.
After all this the waiter had the nerve to ask for a tip. Avoid tourist traps like this like the plague. All the other places in vicinity have better reviews, if you must eat nearby. Also, Paris is not likely to run out of good...
