Paris Ferris Wheel — Attraction in Paris

The Grande Roue de Paris is a giant ferris wheel in the Tuilleries Garden near the Louvre. At 15EUR a ride, it's expensive. But it buys you about 10 minutes of the most amazing views of Paris in a central location, and some peace and a place to sit. If you have the money to spare, the skies are clear, and the line is short, it is a lovely ten minutes. An evening ride would also be nice - the wheel lights up and if you time things well, you can see the Eiffel sparkle show at the top of the hour. The privacy of the cabs would also make this a great spot for an engagement or those secret...

We were told the price at the entrance was £24, but we were charged £34.80 instead with no explanation. As two 16-year-olds just trying to enjoy a day out in Paris, this left a really bad impression. The ride itself was nothing special and absolutely not worth the cost — we spent less on both breakfast and lunch combined. It felt like we were taken advantage of, and there's no clear way to dispute the charge or get a refund. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. Be cautious before...

Nous étions venus pour passer un bon moment, et il a suffi de deux minutes pour que l’hôte de caisse transforme cette expérience en scène grotesque.

Je faisais remarquer à mon amie – discrètement – que le prix de 20€ la place était tout simplement exorbitant comparé aux périodes hors été. Rien d’étonnant, on sait bien que les tarifs s’envolent avec l’arrivée des touristes. Mais apparemment, cette évidence a suffi à déclencher une réaction digne d’une enfant vexée.

L’hôte de caisse s’est permise d’interrompre une conversation qui ne la concernait pas, de répondre avec insolence, sur un ton méprisant et puéril, et pour finir… nous a tout bonnement demandé de partir. Oui, vous avez bien lu : demander à des clients, prêts à payer, de dégager. Professionnalisme niveau zéro.

Alors madame, puisque manifestement vous prenez les critiques des prix (qui ne dépendent pas de vous) comme une attaque personnelle, laissez-moi vous donner un conseil simple : si vous n’avez pas la maturité de tenir votre poste sans confondre votre ego avec votre fonction, il vaut mieux vous abstenir d’ouvrir la bouche. Fermer la caisse serait peut-être moins dommageable que d’ouvrir...
