Land&Monkeys Amsterdam — Restaurant in Paris

I am really saddened to make this review. As I want to support & boost vegan businesses. Especially in Paris where they are far and few. I have tried to handle this matter privately but the company will not acknowledge the complaint.

During my visit, a dog found & got stuck to a glue trap in the corner of the shop. The dog panicked, the owner then pulled it off & got stuck to the owner. The shop assistant came over and grabbed it in which I saw 2x dead rodents were stuck to it. The lady binned it & carried on behind the shop. I didn’t see if she had washed her hands she may have very quickly. If she did not which I highly suspect as she was quick to get back on the counter- that’s very unhygienic. Also having dead rodents in the corner of your shop is also disgustingly unhygienic.

For a vegan bakery, it’s highly unethical and cruel to have glue traps. I can appreciate how much of an issue they may cause to your business. However, glue traps should never be used they cause slow & painful death to those animals!

The food was excellent. And apart from this mishap the place & service was lovely. However, my experience at this specific shop & lack of response, is enough for me...

Our (my partner and I) experience at the various Land&Monkeys bakeries all over Paris have been great until we visited this one today. It was just horrible.

We were attended by an elderly lady, who to begin with, did not seem very interested in serving us. She seemed annoyed at our presence. When she did give us what we ordered, she conveyed to us that because we had ordered takeaway, we couldn’t sit at the tables. I needed to sit at a table for a few seconds to plan my journey but she said we would have to pay an extra surcharge for this. What on earth does that even mean? We’ve not been charged anything extra at the other Land&Monkeys, so why this one? In total, she expressed her dissatisfaction with our presence on the tables three times, and that is simply unacceptable. I will not tolerate being spoken to like this, especially when I’ve paid for a service.

I am definitely never visiting this Land&Monkeys again, and I shall make sure that I don’t recommend to anyone else. I hope the management and brand will take the appropriate measure to bring about a chang in this. Thank you...

Disappointed was an understatement. Walked so far after a long day of exploring to come here. There are a lot of vegans online that rave about this vegan chain so I went out of my way to get here. At 4pm there was no food left... we were shocked to find only a single slice of quiche and a couple pastries left for the day. So I ordered a slice of quiche, a pastry and a cookie. Though the woman asked me to repeat myself three times what I wanted they forgot the cookie and I didnt find out til later. The quiche was okay, the pastry was good but then my partner noticed the mice... I understand as a vegan establishment rodents may be a challenge but health and safety should be a priority. There were mice running around the cafe, i saw many in the kitchen behind me and a woman eating near us said she saw...
