Disrespectful /Discriminative / Disgrace. We reached this restaurant at around 14:00, planning to enjoy some authentic Indian food. Since the waiter mentioned the kitchen would close in 30 minutes, we decided to order 3 stuffed parathas. Suddenly, he insisted that it’s “not allowed” to order only parathas. we must also order a main course. And thats a rule, he said.
First of all, where is this so-called rule written? Second, I am the customer while respecting your kitchen staff, we simply wanted to eat parathas, which in India are a full main course meal, not a starter.
When we tried to clarify, a lady (clearly working there for years) came to our table and instead of resolving the issue, she yelled at us. She started with “do you know me” — shockingly unprofessional words to throw at a customer. Before we could even react, she went further and said, “If you don’t want to eat, leave. This is not India that you guys come over like this.”
That comment was not only rude, but borderline racist. I have lived in Europe for 7 years, and never once has anyone spoken to me in this manner. For a restaurant that claims to represent Indian food, this behavior is shameful and unacceptable.
Another waiter came, trying to be polite, but only repeated the “rule” instead of helping. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told he was not available.
This entire experience has left a bitter taste not just in the food (which felt just as sad as the service), but in the way customers are treated. My friend is visiting Europe for the first time, and instead of enjoying Indian hospitality, she was exposed to this disgraceful conduct.
Honestly, I could have escalated this further, even called local authorities to check whether such “rules” exist. But the bigger issue here is the arrogance, rudeness, and discriminatory tone of your staff.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. I am beyond disappointed, and frankly angry, that such behavior is tolerated in a place that serves Indian cuisine abroad. Respect for customers should come before anything else, clearly, this restaurant has...
Read moreMy family and I recently dined at this exceptional Indian restaurant, and it was an experience we won’t soon forget. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and positivity, setting the tone for the evening. 💯💯
We ordered a variety of dishes, including chicken butter, chicken biryani, kebabs, naan bread, and more. Every dish was a perfect 10/10. The flavors were rich, authentic, and truly some of the best Indian cuisine we’ve had, especially in France. 🤌🏼🤌🏼What stood out was the customization of spice levels, which catered perfectly to our group’s different tastes. 🌶️🍛
The service we received from Hiba and Karke was nothing short of outstanding. They were incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations and patiently explaining the menu, even though it was in French. Their kindness, respect, and attentiveness made our meal truly memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and I hope the management recognizes their hard work they certainly deserve a raise. 🙌🏼
For the quality of food and service we received, the pricing was very reasonable. The total for our group of five was 115 euros, which we found to be excellent value for the experience we had. 💶
The food here is not only delicious but also full of culture and warmth. The ambiance of the restaurant enhances the overall experience, making it a place we’re sure to return to. If you’re looking for an authentic Indian dining experience in France, this is the place to go. Thank you again, Hiba and Karke, for making our meal so special. We can’t wait to come...
Read moreWe were à group of 8 people. We had Chicken Tikka and Seekh Kebab as starters. It was good but as an Indian, I found it a bit bland (probably customized to the European palate like most restaurants here). We ordered an assortment of breads (cheese nan, tandoori parantha & tandoori roti ) and curries (lamb, chicken & fish), which we asked to be spiced medium. The curries were excellent and the breads baked perfectly.
The piece de résistance was the dessert. We ordered Pista Kaju Kulfi, a creamy Indian ice cream with chopped pistachios and cashew nut. It was just the right amount of sweetness... One of the best kulfi's I've eaten and was definitely, not expected. We had ordered it with trepidation, but were very pleasantly surprised.
The service was prompt and very good. We did not get the waitress' name... But she informed that it was her last night there. Definitely a loss for the restaurant.
All in all, if you're looking for quality Indian food in Paris, and are tired of the Gare du Nord pretenders, come here. Pure...
