Le Laborde — Restaurant in Paris

Took my wife here for a quick date night. the restaurant was cute inside. my wife and I both ordered steak with sides to share. there was one woman working the entire front of the restaurant by herself. Things were fine until after the meal. I asked to box up my leftover steak (well done by the way) to give to my dog. She refused stating that she did not want to be liable since it was so fresh. Okay I accepted that and moved on. Then we were having dessert. our dessert was cold, obviously prepared the day before and not fresh. and we alerted her that we would like for it to just be removed from the bill. she said okay but continued to charge me for it. I don't know if it was a language barrier or the fact she was purely overwhelmed as there was way too many people in the restaurant for one person to handle. disappointed considering the other reviews. Hopefully this helps them get that...

We decided to eat here for dinner after reading all the wonderful reviews … and we totally agree! We had an absolutely wonderful experience from the start. The owner graciously accommodated our request and opened the doors so we could dine next to the sidewalk. We ordered the creamy burrata with tomatoes and the chuck flap. The meat was so tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked that it practically melted in your mouth. It was a pleasure to talk with the owner as we concluded our experience. We went to have dinner and chose goat cheese with honey, and thyme for starter, then tartar, faux filet and filet as main dish and the fondant au chocolat and Apple crumble as dessert. The dishes were very tasty and expectations met. The meat as main actor was excellent, soft and savoury. It is even better than some meat I had for a barbecue in Brasil.
