LE MET : Bar à vin (Vins du Monde & Planches) — Restaurant in Paris

I have never forgotten this place since our visit, and meant to write this review ages ago but as I was writing another review for another company, I remembered that I had never finished my review for Le Met. (I'm a small business owner, so these things stay on my mind; I know how much it can mean to receive a review - and I also know how much work goes into running a business, let alone one that impresses me! :).

We visited Paris November-December 2023. We were staying in the hotel next door and made this a regular stop during our stay. I didn't realize they had just opened; the service was so friendly and so personal. One of the owners would greet us every morning as she made the sandwiches, pausing to take time to speak with my boyfriend and I every visit. I learned about the meaning of the name which is so clever (ask when you're in; a sweet touch). I loved the interior, the unrushed feel, etc. On our last day, they were getting ready for their first evening gathering (If I remember right) and had just received their official street sign the day before and was about to be installed - that's when I learned they had actually recently opened! Even with how busy the day must have been, the owner took time to give a special presentation of our order with an extra little surprise. She (and this place) was a highlight of our trip. Truly a warm person who cared about her customers and her business. I hope to be back to see the sign hanging proudly above...

Vous recherchez un lieu "comme à la maison" avec des amis et des excellents produits ?

Ezio a pensé à vous au "Met". J'y ai découvert ce soir ce bar à vins très qualitatif et avant tout très chaleureux. Avec mon ami Julien nous avons eu le sentiment d'être dans l'ambiance d'un bar hors de Paris, où toutes les tables sont amies. Un partage autour d'excellentes vins français et italiens et de très beaux produits du terroir (oubliez les planches de la plupart des bars parisiens, ici c'est vraiment excellent). Nous sommes repartis comme si on repartait d'un dîner chez un ami. Elles sont très rares mais Paris peut proposer ce genre d'adresse qui nous rappellent pourquoi on aime vraiment sortir.

La seule question que je me posais en repartant ? Quand est ce que je reviens. J'écris ce message parceque cet endroit mérite de la visibilité mais égoïstement je préférais ne pas l'écrire par peur de ne plus avoir de place la prochaine fois.
