SUMMARY: The Chef pizza at La Papacionu Paris is easily the BEST PIZZA I have ever eaten. As an English speaker, the staff were very quick to point out the English section of their menu and accommodate my awful French. My spouse and I ordered the Pepperoni and the Chef. We learned this style of pizza is Corse, and after eating these pizzas we learned our favorite style of pizza is Corse. The crust is amazing and has a cracker kind of crisp to it. I have always hated mushrooms - I will pick mushrooms out of any dish. I gave the mushrooms a chance that came on the Chef, and I found out I might actually like mushrooms (only if they are from and cooked in France). The ham was to die for and the cheese was chef's kiss! I am visiting Paris for another week or so, and I am trying to avoid eating at Le Papacionu for every meal. It is actually THAT GOOD! Overall I really enjoyed the experience, the layout of the restaurant was nice in that it had two levels with the bar and tables for eating on the ground floor and a larger dining area upstairs. The area was dimly lit and had a very relaxed vibe with the servers being very friendly and helpful with the menu.
The pizzas we had were very very very good. The pizza itself was not a typical round pizza but rather rolled out into rectangular form and served on a cutting board. The pizza was also served with fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella di buffala and drizzled with some balsamic vinegar.
Prices for both food and drink were very reasonable with dinner and a beer costing around 22€. If you're in the area I would recommend...

We asked the host, who approached us aggressively, if we could sit at a table on the ground floor close to the bar. The table was clean and set. He rudely looked at us and disrespectfully barked '11 o'clock'!. 'Reserved'. We then went to sit at the bar and the bartender just as rudely as the host said '11!'. They were both rude and made us feel like they did not want us there. Maybe it was discrimination. There was nobody waiting, it was clear they did not want us there. Maybe they just want locals there? Stay away from this place. Go where they appreciate our money. What a disgrace I will add that on our way out we saw one of the pizzas - it looked undercooked, flat, and...
