After a long day of touring Montmartre, my boyfriend and I were excited to sit down and enjoy a nice meal with a few cocktails. Unfortunately our expectations were not fulfilled by the staff of MonBleu. When we arrived the restaurant was empty, aside from 2 occupied tables by the front window, instead of spacing us out we were placed right in the middle of the two other couples, with our elbows almost touching. We asked to relocate, and were told "No."
The cocktails that we ordered never came.
We ordered a charcuterie board along with the Mac and Cheese. The board itself was tasty and plentiful. But unfortunately the Mac and Cheese never made its way to the table (at no point did any server come to ask or see how we were doing). When we went to pay the drinks and Mac and Cheese were still on the bill, and they were oblivious that none of the items even reached our table.
Needless to say, we were not impressed with the service of MonBleu and would not recommend dining here if you're looking to...
Read moreThe concept itself is already very cool - a fromagerie and a restaurant in the same shared space. The location is amazing - it's in a very lively street in a great neighborhood. The interior design is top notch. Luckily, we didn't have to wait for a table even in the busiest hour (Saturday at 9 pm). Our order food arrived quick (the hamburger is amazing by the way!), and we were very satisfied with what we've got.
However, keep in mind that apart from the burger the rest of the menu is mostly revolving around variable combinations of cheese and potato, which might be a little too simple for some (it's partly a fromagerie afterall). But if that's what you are after, everything we tried and saw seemed amazing. The staff was super polite as well!
Overall we left very satisfied. Good dishes, super nice staff. I personally would have loved a little more creativity in the dishes with cheeses, but highly recommended nevertheless! And by the way, the cheeses from the fromagerie looked...
Read moreMuch recommended restaurant if you would like to discover the French kitchen with all their cheeses at its best. The restaurant itself is modern decorated. Downstairs, you'll find a cheese store and a part of the restaurant, upstairs are more tables available. We went upstairs as this part looked like the best spot to have dinner. The staff was friendly and helpful in choosing the vegetarian options. We ordered wine and two main dishes (Mont D'or and Chou'fort). Both dishes were outstanding. The cauliflower was perfectly cooked and topped with a creamy cheese sauce. The melted mont d'or cheese was huge and served with potatoes and fresh baguette. As dessert, we ordered the baked apple with cheese cream. This was the perfect start of the evening. We had a problem with a double payment, which they later solved. Be sure to make a reservation as the restaurant is fully...
