EDIT AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6 months is more than enough time to update all the platforms you take reservations on about your holiday closures and I'm sure you were receiving emails regarding reservations received and could have responded/canceled them before instead of after the reservation dates (December 26-30 would have been much more helpful than January 1). You should not blame your (potential) customers for your oversight, especially when they are traveling internationally. I booked dinner at Le Petit L'or for NYE with my husband a week in advance via OpenTable.

Now in addition to this reservation, we also had tickets to ascend the summit of the Eiffel Tower for the late afternoon of NYE. It was perfectly timed so we could enjoy the sunset from this special spot, all while knowing we had the comfort of a dinner reservation for later that evening. We even received reservation confirmation on December 29 from OpenTable.

So, fast-forward to NYE 2022. The view from the top of the Eiffel Tower was incredible, and changing by the minute as the City Of Lights came to life. We stayed as long as we could, soaking in the view from this iconic landmark, but not wanting to be late and lose our table, we eventually raced down to the street, earlier than we would have if not for our confirmed reservation, and speed-walked to Le Petit L'or. After 30 minutes, covered in perspiration but on time, we navigated the last turn and headed toward the only lit facade on the street. When we realized it was a grocery store, we turned around and were faced with the reality that the vacant, completely dark restaurant we had passed a few moments prior was our destination. I wished that my eyes were playing a trick on me, but no, Le Petit L'or was closed and without a soul in sight.

Not only did we leave a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in order to complete our commitment to the restaurant, but we also had the stress of finding a restaurant on one of the busiest nights of the year that could fit us in between all of their reservations. Then, to add even more frustration, we received an email from Le Petit L'o via OpenTable the following day that our reservation for the previous night was canceled.

If I could give Le Petit L'or 0 stars, I would....

Truly outstanding and hidden gem on rue de la Pompe! We went there on a quiet Sunday night and are so happy we did. For starters we got the aubergine ravioli (please do yourself a favour and get that dish)! It was unreal - a delightful truffle sauce to enhance the flavours. It was so good that we went for a second serving 🤣We also got the smoked salmon with beets, the dressing was so good! For mains: we got the sri lankan spicy beef and rice and the cesar salad! The chef is sri lankan so needless to say, that beef was a masterpiece. The salad was really good with a good ratio of lettuce to crispy chicken. There could have been a little more eggs in there but overall it was perfect.

We were so full and happy after.

To top it off, the service was top notch! These guys are hard working and can tell they have an incredible sense of service. Shoutout to our waiter Ajith who was so kind to us as well :)

The dinner was also pretty cheap for the quality and location. Don’t walk, run to Le...

Ma réponse à votre positionnement :

Bonjour Monsieur,

Le Petit L’or was so good! The service was fantastic—friendly and attentive from start to finish. We ordered the cordon bleu, which came out super fast and was absolutely delicious. The cheese was perfectly melty, and the ham and chicken were full of flavor. The French fries were also very good, though for my preference I would have liked them a little more crispy. The inside was super nice, and the atmosphere was cute and welcoming, with music that added to the trendy, charming vibe. It truly felt like a local gem—our waiter even mentioned that the majority of their customers are locals, which tells you just how good it is. Definitely a great spot to enjoy a meal, and I would highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area!

Full 5 stars on every experience. The waiter was so accommodating and immediately switched to English when he realised I didn’t know French. Helped get an English menu and explain everything I wanted to know clearly and without judgement. He gave amazingly honest opinions on the food and when I was about to over-order he advised me to order the rest after I’m done as I might be full (he was right, the portions were huge) Free/flow baguettes were great but the food was insanely amazing. I had the duck confit as recommended by others, beautifully crispy and deliciously juicy Salmon tartare was good as well, not the best but still better than most. Brioche with nuttella (waiters recommendation) was so so good

If you are in Paris, do take the time to come here and have a meal..everything was delicious, the service was incredibly fast and the quality of the food really worth a try..Do try the aubergines Ravioli or the cordon bleu..both were delicious..also the salmon was worth mentioning..we even tried their Virgin cocktails, a perfect way to start your dinner. Totally recommend 👌 Special mention for Lea, our server. She was lovely, kind and welcoming.
