A beautiful pattiserrie in a historic passage. We had the croque monsieur and various pastries and cakes. All were incredibly good and fresh. My wife even tried the sweets even though she usually doesn't go for that stuff, and enjoyed them! We barely found a seat upon arrival so you may have to wait, but it is worth it. Only negative is the service, kind of slow bacuse of how busy it is. But everyone was quite pleasant which is quite rare for Paris. Prices were as expected, also don't forget take away is cheaper as in most places. Overall a great experience. (sorry no pics because I ate everything so fast :) edit: came for a second go, all as described. Additionally forgot to mention this is one patisserie that you can sit and enjoy a coffee and a book without being harassed, very...
Read moreTerrible service. We came in at 11:30am and sat at a table. No one attended to us after awhile so we went up to the counter and asked if we could order. She rudely said “no. Wait to take your order.” We proceeded to wait another 10 mins while the service crew seemed to be busy with other things. When she finally came to take our order, she was completely uninterested and in a rush. We asked for a recommendation of pastry and she just said “everything is good.” I then said perhaps I’d choose a chocolate and a fruit pastry. Without recommending to me the actual pastry, she just said okay, so I would have to guess what pastry she serves up I guess. Before we could finish ordering our drink, she started walking away. Absolutely terrible. Service staff like her give...
Read moreOne of the best patisseries in Paris. My French teacher from Paris highly recommended this and so I came here with my family on a Sunday afternoon. We sat on the second floor but there is seating in the passage way as well. They do have wine in addition to coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. We tried the pistachio tart, the acrulier (like a fancier Ferrero rocher) and Kalingo (a chocolate cake). I had the gunpowder green tea while my sister had the hot chocolate. I honestly liked their hot chocolate more than the one at Angelina. It was rich but not chalky and the perfect amount of sweetness. The pistachio tart was the best one we’ve ever had and revived our spirits after a long day of walking. You pay downstairs and credit cards...
