I stayed here for 5 nights while attending the games at Roland Garros in May 2025. As a frequent hotel visitor, I am a Diamond Select member at Best Western even though the chain is never my first pick. My stay here though, changed my mind.||Room: I stayed on the 6th floor. Did not take any pictures but it was one of the green/ white rooms as others posted. Room was definitely small comparing to those in the U.S. but it was expected in Europe and I was traveling alone. Everything functioned properly. AC, shower and wifi were strong. There was no mini fridge if anyone wonders.||Location: Impeccable location tucked in a smaller street so it was very safe and quiet at night. Surrounded by all kinds of great restaurants, including a highly touristy restaurant with 10K+ reviews and long lines at all times right around the corner (tip: do not go there..). Aside from eateries, there was a pharmacy and a grocery store Monop' within the block. I enjoyed walking along the streets of Paris from the hotel, whether it's the Louvre (20 mins) or the Centre Pompidou (30 mins). The M8/ M9 metro stations were just 2 blocks away, too. I took the M9 to Roland Garros without needing any transfers. ||Customer Service: Front desk manager Jade went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I had 2 gift cards that could not be redeemed when I checked in with her coworker the first night. When Jade returned to work, she took care of it right away. Also, since there was no mini fridge in the room, she helped me to store my souvenir butters in the breakfast room's commercial freezer. They were rock hard and remained in good shape when I brought them home. I cannot thank her enough. |And since I was in and out of the hotel all the time, Jade always said hi with a smile. Her professionalism was not only towards me, I noticed she treated the other guests the same way as well. (Please give her a raise?)||All in all, even though I have stayed at many Best Westerns before (highest tier Diamond Select member wink wink), this is the very first time I am recommending a Best Western to the...
Read moreThis is a small and nicely located hotel. My wife, Marcela Ferrari booked it through her brother Alberto twice. We were there in October of last year and we repeated in late April and early May this year. The rooms are small but well furnished and clean; there is even a Nesspresso machine.||Now I will coment why I will never stay again there. We stayed four nights, left four days for Germany and returned on Monday May 6th to spend two more nights before flying to New York. That Monday 6th we arrived around 6:00 PM and were given a nice bigger room. We placed our cash (mostly dollars) in the safebox and locked it. We left for dinner at about 6:45 and returned to our room around 9:PM. The following morning my wife asked me to open the safebox to take out her last remaining Euros. I opened it and that was when we found out that someone had stolen our cash, mostly US dollars. ||I went to the front desk to report it but were asked the typical silly question: Are you sure you left that money there? My wife and I felt treated like two senile idiots. They added that they had checked the record of the lock and nobody had entered. Could someone have entered through the window? The fact is that someone did and not only opened the safebox but also looked inside my carry-on where they took my useless Argentine Pesos. We were told to go to the police...another silly suggestion, I´m afraid. The hotel should have caledl the police, or not? They told us that we were the only people who had a key but....was that true?||So, tripadvisor members...take my advice and.look for another place to...
Read moreI stayed over a week in the room. The Pros - Comfortable linens, full sized bed, four pillows, close proximity to a good bakery and many restaurants including the famous Chartier (I suggest a dinner here if you stay at this hotel). There is also a tv, outlets for charging devices, and a desk with chair for working. My room had excellent curtains that blocked all light if you wanted, which helped my jet lag. The hotel is near many shops and In the Paris circle. I walked to the Louvre but it was a long walk. They offer a $12 euro simple breakfast at the hotel. It’s a bit over priced, but it was convenient one day. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons - the room was quite small and had almost no floor space. I needed to relocate the desk chair to open my luggage. my room had an odor coming from the bathroom drains. I had to close the bathroom door at night to eliminate the smell. The shower had a missing seal on the glass door causing water to get on the bathroom floor every day. Someone had smashed a tile in the shower floor and instead of replacing the tile, they put the broken pieces back in the place (poorly). It did not affect the performance of the shower which was quite good overall. Paris is filled with sites to see, but I consider this hotel too far for most people to walk to the Eiffel Tower or Arch de Triumph. Finally, there was no small refrigerator.
It was completely adequate for a solo traveler, or maybe a couple in college. I slept reasonably well. If my wife have joined me, I have no idea where her suitcase...
