Lennon Bastille — Restaurant in Paris

I had really high hopes for this actually cute place because of the good recommendations. Sadly we got really disappointed. We visited this place on Friday night, the waitress took our order and 10 minutes later another men came to our table and asked for our order again (because his coworker didn’t understood us right?!). Everything fine to this point, they were even really nice.

We WAITED and WAITED for our drinks, the other tables got their drinks before us even though they ordered long time after us. The waitress completely ignored us (oversaw our table, although the bar is very small!!). In my opinion that’s not a good service at all.

After over 40 minutes waiting for our drinks we left. I was even that friendly and told the waitress that we will leave. Her answer: this place is full, it’s not usually like that. Cocktails take really long time in making.

But not 40 minutes for the first drinks (what about the other tables that got their drinks first??). Instead of CHATTING with friends or SMOKING outside (what the waitresses did) you should look for your guests and not leave them waiting over 40 minutes for their drinks.

No recommendation from us, I have never experienced something like that. The evening was over after that. THANKS...

Lovely lovely bar !! We wish we had found this earlier but sadly only went on the last night. Lovely decor and music and the staff are superb. Waiter spoke amazing English and the cocktails were even better. They aren’t your ordinary cocktails as the waiter asks you a series of questions and then makes his own concoction based on that. And he handled our friends nut allergy perfectly. The waiter, who’s name we didn’t catch, was both funny and professional. The only downside is you don’t know how much you’re paying, although I assume you can ask, but each of our cocktails were €13 euros each. While on vacation we met a friend here for drinks, and I was really surprised by everything. The staff looked to be 2 folk that were really hustling, but my party and I were never neglected. The other patrons inside and outside were lively, and super friendly. ( From the US here, and I personally love the Parisian view )

The free aperitif was fantastic, a great blend and not too boozy when I requested it as a full cocktail. I requested a Whiskey sour and was really wowed by the proportions and mix. On line or just above my favorite one at home.

I will definitely come back, the next time...
