La Haute Route — Local services in Paris

As tourists, we had a very bad experience here, we asked for help from one of the sales guys and he just told us :” jackets are here and pants there” ( gee, thanks, we did not know how pants look like) and then he continued talking to a french customer. We waited some more because we needed counseling and after 10 minutes I went again to the shoes section and told him I need help with the shoes. He pointed me to the winter shoes and continued the conversation with the french customer. There were other employees in the store but nobody helped- I just assumed they did not speak english. All in all, if you’re not french, you’ll experience some first hand xenophobia...

The folks here are SO friendly and wonderful. I’ve rented crashpads here for Fontainebleau multiple times and bought some pieces of equipment like my grigri. They are always incredibly helpful and work with me through my broken French. Francois even helped me carry crashpads across the street to load into a car 🥹

Entretien classique (PAF : ponçage, affûtage, fartage) de ma planche de Snowboard.

35€ pour un travail moyen, 'à la chaine', vous attendez pas un travail au détail. Pour un prix plus plus élevé que la concurrence, ce n'est pas mieux par rapport aux autres. Allez donc ailleurs (Décathlon, Au Vieux Campeur...), vous ferez des économies pour un résultat qui sera pas pire dans tous les cas.

J'ai dû faire la finition chez moi et brosser la planche pour retirer l'excès de wax. J'hésitais à faire l'affûtage car les carrés n'étaient pas trop mal à la base. Je me disais que ça pouvait pas faire du mal, je me suis donc lancé. Grosse erreur, les carrés sont moins affûtés maintenant :)

On verra Dimanche sur les pistes si je dois faire un affûtage...
