Les Canailles Vaugirard — Restaurant in Paris

I went to this pub yesterday with my friend to have a drink. It was our first time there the place looked nice and seemed promising. We were served by the owner himself, who told us the drinks were €10 each, so €20 total.

However, when I checked my bank account the next morning — on our last day in Paris — I saw I had been charged €44. I hadn’t noticed at the time because we were in a rush and trusted what he told us.

I immediately sent them an email explaining the situation, and they completely ignored it. So I messaged them through their Facebook page, repeating the same message. Instead of replying or offering any explanation, they blocked me.

I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge, because €44 for two drinks is unacceptable especially after being told it would be €20. I truly believe they thought we wouldn’t notice, just because we were tourists.

I’m extremely upset and disappointed. At the very least, I expected a respectful response not to be ignored and blocked without any explanation. It felt dishonest and unfair.

If you’re thinking about going to this place, be very careful. Always double-check your bill right after you pay. They may be taking advantage of tourists, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve done this to others who didn’t catch it in time. I did notice it, and...

Pratiques un peu douteuses de cet établissement qui nous a facturé à mon amie et à moi même 6€ le verre de Sauvignon au lieu de 5€. Nous en avons consommé deux chacune ce qui au total nous a coûté 24€ au lieu de 20€. Après avoir payé, nous avons demandé le pourquoi du comment et le gérant nous a répondu qu’il fallait préciser que nous voulions le verre de Sauvignon en happy hour car sinon il sert d’office celui à la carte à 6€… Explication bancale et de mauvaise foi. À quel moment sommes-nous censées savoir qu’il existe un sauvignon en HH et un autre qui ne rentre pas dedans étant donné qu’il n’en existe qu’un sur la carte ? Un peu désarçonné le gérant nous a indiqué que de toute manière il ne souhaitait plus pratiquer l’happy hour car cela n’était pas rentable pour lui. Très bien mais dans ce cas, il faudrait penser à le supprimer de la carte ;) De plus, un service qui laisse à désirer puisque nous avons dû nous lever aux deux moments où nous voulions commander car personne ne venait nous demander ce que nous...
