Maybe I caught them on a bad day. They gave the 3 of us a table in the dark, drafty entrance while I made a reservation specifically requesting a table by the window with a view of the rooftops in the main dining room. Maybe they failed to look at the reservation. Maybe we didn't get served until 40 min after arriving because they were busy or missing a server. Maybe we only got one menu because of Covid issues. Maybe the brunch was overpriced at 27E for what we got because its near Montmarte. But then again I live near Montmartre so I know what quality it should be. The food was very average. Very average. When a table became available in the main room and the server kindly showed it to us we were not that happy. Maybe we should have been because at least it was actually light in the main room. Why then when I asked again about changing to sit at the newly available corner table with the view, did the server say "c'est pas possible." Maybe there was another reservation coming in the next hour who reserved it. But then again after we finished our brunch, still no one sat there. We didnt order a coffee after because maybe we wanted to hurry and get out of the very loud and very echoey place where the reviews said "cozy." Disappointed is an understatement. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. But then again, maybe I won't be coming back again either. Ever. PS I've been living here since 5 years but my parents, 40+. They were beyond disappointed we even had to take champagne else to help dull the...
Read moreTo be fair, I am sure this place is good for dinner, but don’t come here on Saturday as you will be forced to have the brunch which is uninspired, poorly prepared (think raw sweet potatoes and undressed salad, too much and wrong herbs, brioche which is pain de beurre) and very, very overpriced. Came on a friends recommendation and was sorely disappointed. Worst meal I have ever had in Paris. The staff were ok - a bit French laconique but by now I am used to this. The atmosphere was ruined by a horrible Italian family: screaming kids, telephone notices on max volume and one lady also did not feel like flushing the toilet…they should have been politely spoken to but there we have it. Again, I am sure dinner is different: I was so sad to see the lovely options on the menu, but do yourselves a favour and...
Read moreTo be fair. We got the best table for 2. I booked 3 weeks in advance though. The price is 1 or 2 euros less then rest of Paris but portions are MINI. for minions . So you must take 3 or 4 plates to make a normal plates so you end up paying 4 times more per person. We took meatballs and they are 3 the size of 3 cm maximum. I liked them but small. Everybody was getting the bread as soon as sitting down , we didn't . We receive the mini meatballs and no bread. We had to ask. This is enough to ruin a so called romantic dinner. Owner be careful! People fight with eachotehr after a dinner like this. You are playing with people lives! Be careful if you are not a mean cold...
