Macaron Bar — Restaurant in Paris

I was there on July 13 around 2-3 pm and ordered some macaroons. There were two young girls attending and advised me that they only accepted cash, no credit cards. I was pretty surprised as all online information states they accept credit cards. As I looked for cash which of course I had they started speaking in French and laughing at me thinking I did not understand. Clearly I should ah e simply cancelled but I didn’t want to form a show or ruin anyone’s vacation around me but I didn’t want to post this so the owners are aware of what they are hiring. Mind you, I don’t understand these girls entitlement working selling macaroons to tourist who clearly have the money to travel abroad and buy them but let them live in their fallacy earning minimum wage. Nonetheless, the entire experience and tour and the other vendors were pleasant in the tower with this exception of this one. Furthermore the macaroons are overpriced and hard so it wasn’t even worth it. In Paris you can find better macaroons anywhere else and avoid being treated rudely by two immature girls treating people who earn a lot more than them...

Have been a fan of Pierre Hermé Macarons for years and definitely didn't want to miss the Eiffel tower exclusive flavors! Therefore I booked for a box of all 8 flavors in attempt to secure the two exclusives when I purchased the tower tickets.

Turns out they have quite a lot of stock of the exclusive flavors (maybe because I went there in the morning) so you can go and just buy the two exclusives. The box is decorated with the tower logo so I didn't regret anyway.

The two exclusive flavors are both tasty and I would recommend both. I personally like the "Jardin sur les toits" (bergamot-honey flavor, the yellow one with a piece of Eiffel-tower-logo-printed chocolate on top) better as it has a more unique taste with more layers of flavoring infused in your mouth, which is something very Pierre Hermé.

Você não deve subir a Torre Eiffel sem um copo reutilizável ou uma caneca se você pretende tomar uma bebida lá em cima. Eu não sei se esse estabelecimento se refere apenas á mesa de Macarons ou se também vale para o Café que fica logo ao lado, mas é bom que vocês estejam avisados de que vocês não irão pagar menos do que 6 euros por um simples expresso nesse lugar. Eu pedi um chá, meu amigo pediu um expresso, e eles nos cobraram 4 Euros (2 Euros para cada bebida) apenas PELOS COPOS. A desculpa deles é o meio ambiente - eles não dão copos descartáveis nem nada do tipo. O copo que nós compramos contra a nossa vontade, porém, é um copo extremamente simples de plástico, que irá trincar se você apertar com força. O preço que é informado nas placas é apenas para o "líquido", e não inclui o recipiente em que ele será servido. O pior de tudo é que os copos tem sempre o mesmo preço, porém tem tamanhos iguais, e isso nos deixou irritados, pois eu recebi um copo de tamanho médio, mas meu amigo recebeu apenas um copinho minúsculo com o expresso dentro. O copinho caríssimo quase não serve nem mesmo como souvenir. O atendimento é horrível, com pessoas mal humoradas e impacientes, que não gostam de estrangeiros e pessoas que não falam Francês (algo muito irônico, pois aquela torre é o PRINCIPAL PONTO TURÍSTICO DE PARIS). Não existem mesas para apoiar o copo enquanto se bebe ou enquanto se mistura o açúcar ou o adoçante, e você é obrigado a ficar em pé, com o copo na mão, o tempo todo. Nós literalmente tivemos que usar a BORDA DA LATA DE LIXO para apoiar o copo quando adicionamos o açúcar à bebida. Para finalizar, foi angustiante ver pessoas pegando copos que estavam DENTRO DO LIXO e indo para o banheiro para lavá-los, para que elas não precisassem pagar pelo copo da bebida. Realmente uma cena triste de se ver. O macarons são caríssimos, e eles não tem nada de especial. Pagamos cerca de 4 Euros por cada UNIDADE de macaron, e eu devo dizer que eu comi macarons muito mais gostosos e muito mais baratos na região da Catedral...
