Hôtel Eiffel Kensington — Hotel in Paris

This hotel is good for one thing only.... sleeping. The website is misleading in that it indicates that you can see the Eiffel Tower from your room. That would only happen if the entire building was turned about 30 degrees. We had to lean over the "balcony" rail to see the tower. The room is very small and the private bath even smaller. Clark Kent could not change into Superman in that shower. The bed is also very small, so 2 people are very cramped. Our room had a distinct downward slant to the point that my suitcase rolled across the room when I set it on the floor. Wifi was functional, but weak. There is a lift that can accommodate 2 people at a time. If you're looking for a place to sit in your room with a glass of wine and see the tower or share a romantic bath with your special someone, this is NOT the place.

The best part is the location. A few blocks from the Eiffel Tower makes it an easy walk. Also many choices for food and souvenirs along the road.

Desk staff were polite, but not very helpful and the breakfast was adequate at best.

One day, I was early morning having breakfast, and she was so welcoming, and we chatted about Paris and where to go. at night, when I used to come back, the personnel were also very welcoming. |the toilets are also big; I have a spacious toilet with a "baignoire" where you can take a shower. Our stay at this hotel was disappointing. We booked a room with an Eiffel Tower view at an additional cost, but upon arrival, we found you could barely see the tip of the tower—and only if you leaned awkwardly. Worse, the room had bedbugs, so we requested to be moved. The receptionist on the first day was helpful, promptly arranging a room change and assuring us we'd be refunded the 80 euros difference for the "view" we didn’t receive. However, every day after that, a different receptionist was at the desk, none of whom knew about the refund, and after months of contacting the hotel, I still haven't received it.

Additionally, the replacement room was disappointing: the ceiling fan was so unstable we feared it might fall, so we couldn’t use it; tap water dripped constantly in the bathroom, and overall, the room's condition was below expectations. The only real positive was the central location and the friendly receptionist who tried to help on the first day. But given the lack of follow-through and the room issues, I can’t recommend this hotel...
